I live here and it's a beautfiul area to visit. Spend some time walking around and eat in one of the many nice restaurants around the Draakplaats or the Dageraadplaats. You won't feel alone.

Very interesting neighbourhood of Antwerp full of highly imaginative Art Nouveau buildings with the 'Dageraads Plaats' ( a large square) at its cultural and culinary centre. Bustling with locals, students, artists and visitors of all ages, especially on nice spring, summer, autumn evenings.

Well worth a tram ride out of central Antwerp. Many art nouveau town houses on an impressive scale. All kept in immaculate condition. Give yourself an hour or two to wander around and then have lunch in one of the adjoining squares (Dageraadplaats square). Don't forget your camera.

just walk around, enjoy the friendly atmosphere with green squares with terraces... try some bars and the nicest restaurants are also here... try café Zeezicht for eclectic and the restaurant Overvloed above for large portions for a very decent price.

This old market square was once the centre of Zurenborg (part of Berchem, Antwerp) and is now a lively well established place to meet friends, have a drink, go out for dinner and have a great time. It's alive and kicking and in the middle of a very attractive area with old beautifully built houses in the surrounding streets -... More

Well worth a detour to walk around and admire the variety of decorative styles on these quiet streets, said to result from an architectural design competition at the start of the last century.

A great neighbourhood. Take all the time you have, to enjoy it - provided you're a Jugendstil fan. The Tramplein roundabout is a good place with several restaurants and terraces to be used as a starting point, and is served by street car line 11.
