The Mabuhay bed and breakfast where I've slept was in this beautiful neighbourhood. This area has plenty of good restaurants and bars. Nice to have an evening walk.

this is the place to make a side trip away from the center for! The buildings and neighborhood are so well preserved it boggles the mind to think they almost demolished this area to build a new! thank god it was saved in time.

Zurenborg area is beautifully set out around a square where there are many restaurants and bars. The houses are amazing , with Art Nouveau stained glass windows and wrought iron and carved wood room dividers. The houses are all individual with window boxes and potted plants outside. Its easy to walk here from Central station.

During a city trip to Antwerp, we diverted from the regular tourist route and land by sheer coincidence in the Zurenborg area. Stroll in the direction of the Berchem railway station and discover an absolutely impressive street with ancient mansions.

If you take the #11 tram southeast from the central station, it takes you to the fabulous collection of art nouveau buildings preserved for all to enjoy. The mosaics, art glass and metal work on many of these homes is impressive and worth seeing if this architecture is to your liking. I would love to live in one of those... More

Worth the trek out to the south east of Antwerp. It's possible to walk it from the centre ... although we took the tram back. When you do come upon the street of houses, you can't help but laugh and marvel !

The houses in this neighborhood are amazing. Stately mansions, a lot of them protected. I had to opportunity to enter one of them: high ceilings, original glassworks... It's definitely worth taking a stroll here.

YOu can easily reach Zurenbog by tram or when you get off at Berchem train station. Admire the nice turn of the century architecture and have a drink or a bite at the many cafés and restaurants around the Dageraadplaats. The children will love to play there too !
