I was told about a hidden street, so I asked the guy in the Tourist Centre, who explained me the different entrances. I went looking for the (purpotedly) most obvious one, but to no avail. It was only when I almost gave up that I found the one from the other street. Once you got in, you find yourself in... More

I was having my waffle from cafe in the corner of the cobbled street full of restaurants and checking my map. I realised Vlaeykensgang is some where here and I asked the girl served me. She pointed out right opposite to her shop a kind of old door seems to be entrance to some alley way. Soon I stepped in... More

Pleasant little streets in the old city with a medieval feeling. This very old passage between two main streets was beautifully restored and some nice restaurants are situated in it.

Yup, it's hard to find. Follow your GPS or hotel directions to the big medieval doors and go through. Once in, though, it's a really neat, tiny, winding peak at the old city. Definitely worth the wander! There are two restaurants in there as well. I didn't eat at either, but I've heard good things. When you exit, go across... More

From the brief information in the guide books/sites, my expectations were quite high. But the narrow inlet from the large tourist street is not the easiest to find. That said, the guides' comments are correct - it's a lovely and remarkable step back in time. But! It's quite limited in space and even with ten people inside, it can feel... More

if you are a history buff and enjoy a unique experience, walk this little alley for a step back in time. You will also find two lovely restaurants that maintain the old world ambiance.

Traipse into the history of Antwerp with a stroll along the Vlayekensgang. It's a short little alley that truly takes you away from the 21st century

This is a 'street' with 3 entrance/exit points a sort of labyrinth. It is also easy to miss as each entrance has a door/gate so you think you are entering priate property. If you can afford it try the Sir Antony van Dyke restauarnt. (Eur100pp)
