Find the Vlaeykensgang, a small but beautiful alley in the center of Antwerp and get a glimpse of authentic medieval times :)

One of the oldest little streets in Antwerp. The restauration is done by one of the famous Antique dealer in the world Axel Vervoordt. You must see this.

Intertwined within the amazing architecture and bustling city we came upon the Vlaeykensgang. A step back in time through a winding little ally that transported you to another era. Honestly, its a great place to take pictures and its not to be missed.

Take a detour from the town square to visit this hidden alley way marked on one side by heavy wooden doors and another with a street sign "vlaeykensgang". A short walk full of quaint courtyards, vine covered walls and quirky back doors.

Wow. Old, very smal but quaint, beautiful. And full of small restaurants and lovely spots to just sit and enjoy a bit of quiet in the middle of a buzzing city.

Pittoresque well preserved alley in the oldest part of Antwerp dating from ca 1200. It' really a time capsule.

These are some charming back alleys with a medieval feel. Some nice restaurants too with out of this planet prices ( but Antewerp is vey expensive to eat out anyway).

quirky streets hiding behind main thoroughfares, a tiny treasure and a glimpse into the history of Antwerp. Try and go when it's not full of guided tours though.

I was told about a hidden street, so I asked the guy in the Tourist Centre, who explained me the different entrances. I went looking for the (purpotedly) most obvious one, but to no avail. It was only when I almost gave up that I found the one from the other street. Once you got in, you find yourself in... More
