Another castle in Belgium :P

It's definitely worth passing near it, it's nice to take a photo with castle's guardian sculpture :)

Was in Antwerp and decided to tour the city. Came across this city, looked very beautiful from outside and was nice going around and great photo opportunities and nice views. Was nice walking around. Would definitely recommend and would go again if I was in Antwerp. There are lots of nice sites around the site as well, some lovely places.

The Castle recently has become a museum for Children's performance or something. The exterior views remain lovely however and there are lots of good photo ops around. If you want to see the inside of a Flemish Castle go to Ghent.

Long history dating back to the 13th century. Was a fortress and them a prison and lastly a museum. Now it's partially accessible and has exhibits and areas particularly interesting of children. Fine views of the Scheldt

An attractive small fortress on the waterfront that makes a great photostop. However, somewhat disappointed that more has not been done to provide historical origins and history of the castle. Some interesting plaques honouring WWII endeavours, but leaves you short on the stories behind the plaques. It could be better presented.

The castle was unfortunately closed when we got there, which wasnt surprising as in the first week of September ,it seems that nearly everything in Antwerp is closed...Beware if you are travelling at this time

Steen Castle is on the river, and provides a nice river view. It makes for a great backdrop and vantage point for photos.

We were drawn to visit this place when we saw it on a walk on our first evening in this city. It was of course closed but it was so a good experience. The sign outside tells you about the castle and the beautiful lines of the building make it worth a look.

This is a medieval castle. It starts with a bridge, a statue then you get into the inside. The castle retains its medieval structure and is one of the oldest buildings in Antwerp. There is a cafeteria inside too. Yet I would not say it is an impressive one. The good news is that it is a just a short... More

We loved walking into this historic site which is stituated along the Schelde river & just a short walk from the Grote Markt. Yes, there is not a lot to buy or do, however everyone needs to remember that we normally do not see this in North America. I found the docked vessel (unique landmarks) up on land very interesting...
