We took a 1,5 hour tour on Sunday morning of the Antwerp terminals. It was lovely, especially having a narrator explain what we were looking at. However, it was all in Flemish, so tough luck for anyone who does not understand Flemish/Dutch! Still, if you do, it's highly recommended.

If you want to get under the skin of Antwerp, a 2.5-hour boat ride through the docks is the way to do it. Bridges need to be opened to let the tour boat pass. The tour guide offers clear explanations fluently in four languages. He has a fine sense of humor and is not overbearing. Great for families. Front of... More

It was hot, it was Sunday, Antwerp was closed for the triathlon so we decided to do something different and away from the city so we opted for the 3 hour port cruise. You get your tickets from the Flandria van at the bottom of the gangway (card and cash accepted) and board. The commentary was in 4 languages, drinks... More

We did the 50 min trip around the harbour. The commentary was not in English, but we were given an English information sheet for the route which explained everything. It was interesting to learn a bit more about the city and also to sit out in the sun and take photos on the top deck. Interestingly enough, we were also... More

We didn't actually get to go on the 50min tour because the police showed up and prevented us from boarding. From what we understood they had a problem with the number of staff on the boat for the number of customers expected. The tour company refunded us all promptly and without complaint. I am only posting this as a warning... More

There are lots of things to do in Antwerp. Besides visiting what probably is the most beautiful train station of the world, there is the Zoo, right next to it. But on a hot, hazy and humid day in summer, a great idea is to board one of the cruise vessels from the Flandria line. The harbor cruise will take... More

We read up about the Flandria Line and decided to go on the Friday 25-October-2012 afternoon cruise (14:30). We arrived about 14:00 at the Steenplien, but were told that the boat left from Londenbrug (near MAS). That's 20 minutes walk! We made it, just, but were not amused. The ride on the boat was interesting, with commentary in three languages... More

On a sunny afternoon what better way to spend 3 hours then watching other people work, loading and unloading ships. It was an informative trip around the port and when we were there the largest conatiner ship was docked.

We took a 3 hour afternoon harbour cruise which is leaving from the Kattendijk dok located at the "Eilandje'" which is being renovated for residential and tourist activities purposes. The cruise was great with an excellent explanation of the activities and ships berthed in the port.
