And sometimes you can climb the tower (515 stairs, and as many back). You have to book in advance, but you get a better view of the tower, and of course of the city once your on the top.

Located in the center of The Old City, the Cathedral is a must of your trip to Antwerp. Her beauty starts outside, because of its asymmetric towers (only one could be finished after ...170 years of construction). Inside there are three of Rubens masterpieces having good explanations : The Rising of the Cross and The Descent from the Cross plus... More

We were lucky that the cathedral was hosting a museum exhibit when we went. Great looking cathedral from the outside, nicely gothic inside. Well worth visiting, especially if the exhibit is still ongoing.

We arrived on Sunday just as they opened it to the public at 13.00. Many people objected to paying 6 euros to enter but it's so beautiful it is worth it. Fascinating to see the paintings commissioned by the different guilds as alter pieces.

This cathedral was worth the admission. The art, architecture, and photo opportunities were stunning. Even with the construction, it was well worth our time. Go.

This was my first sight of Flemish architecture and it didnt disappoint, it is very impressive from outside but unfortunately there is quite a high price to go in so I couldn't go in unfortunately, the bells also play full songs like blue moon which is quite nice.

I tend to visit cathedrals everywhere I go around the world but I must say this is one of the most beautiful I have ever encountered. It's a gorgeous gothic building with a long history and at the time is visited had sets of triptychs (altarpieces) by the masters displayed throughout. You do have to pay an entrance fee but... The Cathedral is currently housing a number of artworks usually found in the Museum of Fine Arts (closed for renovation) which are superb to see in what was in many cases their original setting. The Cathedral is impressive in size and scale and must, I suggest, form a part of any visit to Antwerp even if only as a starting... More

This is the most imposant building in Antwerp. You can see it from far when arriving in the city. Centrally located not far from the town hall. Many historical paintings and works of art inside. Statue of the builder stands beside the cathedral . The sound of its carillon is heard every hour.
