Antwerp Zoo is over a hundred and fifty years old, but seems to be still developing - a large section was under construction when I visited. There was a good variety of animals, from birds to big cats to reptiles, but some of their habitats were not very interesting (some of the birds were in pretty plain cages with just... More

It is a very old zoo, very well maintained. The zoo hosts a variety of animals and reptiles. It is a good one day activity. Summer and early winter are the time you can enjoy the most!

We intended to spend only a couple hours here but wound up there for most of the morning--and we never got to the aquarium. The collection of birds is particularly good. If you arrive at the right time, you can watch penguins being fed. It is well laid out, with attractive landscaping. Unfortunately, the famous elephant house is currently closed... More

The Antwerp zoo is one of the most beautiful and oldest city zoo in the world.Locatd in the heart of town next to the train station it is really worth visiting.A wide variety of animals live there in nice surroundings and you will find it a magical place to spent some time.
