When we visit cities, we visit zoos and this one is delightful in every way. Perhaps we caught it on an exceptional day but the animals were all very active and visible and moving about. We thought it would be small because it's one of the oldest zoos anywhere but it seemed big and just the right amount of things... More

Old and really good zoo next to the train station, with a lot of stuff! A bit expensive (Flanders..)

If you want a great day visit the antwerp zoo. It is in the middel of the city with a beautiful park and you can see the animals very close. A lot of thema s and great for children too.

It's big enough to spend your afternoon to walk around among animals. There are many kinds of animals. just bit pity that not many birds as it used to. It's nice place for family and couples as well.

In the middle of the city of Antwerp, next to the central station, the location is great. Of course it's not a hudge zoo, but you can spen easy half a day there, without seeing everything. They combine 19th century charm with modern breeding technology. An oasis of traquility in the center of the city

All animals are settled in a natural environment. The pathways are nice and full of flowers. The maintenance of the gardens is incredible. This place in the middle of Antwerp gives rest and ideal place to walk, read a book or drink a glass with friends!

Not an afternoon filler, but certainly worth your while to have a look. The zoo dates from beginning of the past centuary and a lot of the quarters still breath that spirit though they are constantly renewing and improving everrything to make the stay of the animals as pleasant as possible for an animal in captivity. Because the zoo is... More

Definitely worth a visit entrance fee is reasonable zoo itself is a good size very big range of animals but the smell!!!!! also I don't think the animals were mistreated but, I do think there living conditions could be greatly improved. Done it once wouldn't rush to go back!

You go to a northern zoo and find tropical poor animals, forced to live in very small places, where they cannot even run, and to stay outside even if it's just freezing. I have been to other zoos where animals were taken care of and were in much better conditions than these, but the Antwerp Zoo is just a scandal.... More
