Definitely worth a visit entrance fee is reasonable zoo itself is a good size very big range of animals but the smell!!!!! also I don't think the animals were mistreated but, I do think there living conditions could be greatly improved. Done it once wouldn't rush to go back!

You go to a northern zoo and find tropical poor animals, forced to live in very small places, where they cannot even run, and to stay outside even if it's just freezing. I have been to other zoos where animals were taken care of and were in much better conditions than these, but the Antwerp Zoo is just a scandal.... More

I could never imagine that just behind the beautiful Antwerp Central Station there will be such a big Zoo with plenty of animals. The zoo is a good one-day picnic spot where kids can have lot of fun looking at animals from different geographies. The Seal show is also included in the ticket price and is scheduled multiple times a... More

Compared to the Zoo visits in my childhood, the Zoo now looked a little bit small. Henfe, there is enough to see, to read, to experience for a full day. This Zoo is in Flanders a "protected landscape" and it deserves this label. Beautifull and well maintained parc with play-areas for children. Not much changed compared to 40 years ago... More

WOW! What a great zoo!! Seriously!! Very compact but have great exhibits including a really cool hippo area and lion area as well. Our kids loved the nocturnal animal exhibit and the playground area. We spent a lot of time watching the Squirrel Monkeys play. There was a lot to see in a relatively small area and the animals were... More

This old school zoo is really special. some old fashioned buildings and classic settings, some animals you rarely see. Be sure you visit the butterflies exhibition, that is if you don't mind walking with 10 cm blue butterflies around you. it's beautiful.

Really lovely albeit too small. Extremely well kept and the animals are treated with the utmost respect even though the lack of needed space. Beautiful gardens too. Worth a visit.

This zoo is ideally placed for the centre of town being adjacent to the central railway station. The animals all seemed well cared for with as much space as you can expect from a zoo.

Its one of the most interesting Zoos that i visited. The zoo is well organised with different sections to divide the difference in animals. Its located just next to the main railway station of Antwerp. Contsins outdoor and indoor places with different kinds of animal and birds. Both adults and kids can enjoy this zoo.. The landscape is amaaaaazing too... More

It's cool that there is a zoo in Antwerpen, an alternative attraction to do when you want to do a different stuff when you're in Antwerp other than eating fries and walking around the city. Not only for tourists but also good option for locals.
