My friends and I spent several hours at this zoo. It is very impressive! It would be perfect for a solo, family, or friends outing. It is very well-kept with beautiful lawns and many different kinds of animals. A must-do while in Antwerp!

No doubt it isn't a very big zoo but it does has a class. Which the zoo people has maintained. Was amazed to see the the shows which they perform in between hours. A good camera is a must to carry along with the good amount of time to visit the place.

I had a season pass for three years, but had to stop it due to work. It's too bad I can't go there anymore, because it's a great piece of quietness in the city. Not the largest zoo, but cosy.

Situated right beside Antwerp Railway Station this is an excellent Zoo with the widest variety of animals I ever seen in a Zoo. Well laid out and immaculately clean. Plenty of indoor areas should the weather not be to your liking. Top tip if you are staying in Brussels to go by train. Trains are every half hour and take... More

We visited the zoo in the afternoon after arriving to Antwerp by car. You could easily park in the Q-park close by, or there is the central station just next to it. The entrance fees are not exactly cheap but once you get in and walk around they are by no means overpriced. There's everything from butterflies to tigers and... More

Zoos are not my thing, but on a sunny afternoon this was a pleasant way to spend a few hours before leaving for home. Not everything was open as there are extensive restorations underway but there were feeding time shows and ta range of exotic and increasingly rare animals as well as a reptile house, aquarium and ice-house. Special promotional... More

We visited the zoo on January 1st as it was pretty much the only thing open in Antwerp at that day. It's a nice zoo with lot's of animals but it isn't big. As it was cold and a lot of animals where inside there was a special winter price. However we had a great time! We spend 3 hours... More

Highly recommend visiting Antwerp Zoo (and the town) if you’re in Belgium for more than a day. Easily commutable. It’s literally next to the train station! Can’t wait to go back.

This ZOO takes 1-3 hours based on how meticulous you are going from one corner to the other and visiting each habitat. The strongest point is the seal show and a restaurant. Also the old style of architecture is very interesting. On the other hand it is limiting the ZOO, today the ZOOs are built differently with more nature-like habitats,... More
