This is a lovely lush spot to relax. Especially nice for children as there are some great playground activities. I was advised by my hotel staff not to walk through the park at night and I have to agree with them; I cut through the park just at dusk one evening and rather wish I hadn't. It was just a... More

The Spanish wall around the city of Antwerp was built by Emperor Charles. It had replaced the medieval City Wall in 1401. In 1542, he followed the route of the current slate (the Boulevard) which was 4.5 kilometers long. The wall was built in solid bastions 9 (a bastion is a projecting portion in the form of a pentagon that... More

The park is easy to access and relatively clean. As all parks in big citys to can find time to relax and unwind in the park without the noise from the city.

The Stadspark is a nice piece of green in the centre of the city. With a nice little lake, some walk paths and benches it is perfect to get 'out of the city'.

This really is just a park, not interesting to go to. And after sunset: stay out!!! unless you are looking for man-to-man contact or looking for getting your purse snatched.

Comparing to other parks in cities in Europe, this park is okay, but nothing exceptional. There are trees, water and a playground for children. However, no extra effort has been done to make it worth a special visit.

Because the many new buildings the lake has almost no water anymore. But there's a play garden for children and young people can enjoy theme self in a skatepark. Never go in the park after dark because there are criminals robbing people. This is also the place where you can meet the (orthodox) Jewish people of Antwerp.

A great park well worth visiting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

This is just a park in the city, not particularly intersting but if you happen to be in the area anyway pop past.

the city park was once the place where the German forces had their Belgian headquarters in the second war. It also contained the high command of the german forcesin Normandy. The remains of the bunkers is now burried under the park grounds
