"Grand Central"

Fantastic architectural structure for a train station. Great views not only from the outside but on the inside also. Will recommend just because of the details.

Beautiful building with a lot of character. No wonder it is so highly rated as a place of interest within other reviews on TripAdvisor.

Although I'm not that quickly without words, the Antwerp train-station is a beautiful piece of building. - Old parts are well preserved and really show you how they thought about details in architecture before building it... - New parts are added and a masterpiece in aligning with the preserved old.....

I daily passed by this building and it is still mind-blowing after several years. The main entrance and the dome seen from a distance are breath-taking . You can't miss the Central Station also because it is going to be your first sight either if you come to Antwerp by train or by flight in BRU.

Normally railway stations are functional bits of necessary architecture; Antwerp's is a piece of art as well. The central hall is breathtaking. Worth the walk.

After many years of major work the magnificent Central Station has now been wonderfully restored. The station is clean, safe and easy to use. Five minutes by taxi to the city centre. The entrance to Antwerp zoo is right next door to the station. My only concern was that there was not evident security, on the platforms, especially when boarding the... More

This is amazing, everything is so organized and in place. Central station staff is so helpful, and traveling for a foreigner is so easy. I cannot get lost. Trains are coming every 10-15 minutes.

The architectural beauty of European train stations, has always impressed me. They are in many cases as beautifully designed as the City's opera houses. Very ornate. Probably because they were built about 200 years ago or longer and to promote rail transportation in all of the splendor of that bygone era. This one was approximately 300 meters in width and...
