This was quite a revelation and totally unexpected. So glad we went. It is quite amazing how one's brain works.
Would centainly go to Panorama Mesdag when your in The Hague. You get a view from the beach near The Hague in the 19th century. Easy to find, near The Hilton Hotel.
A must do, when in Den Haag. First visit Panorama Mesdag (to see the past), then go to Scheveningen Boulevard to the Seinpost Area (to see the future). Enjoy!
Worth a visit if you are in the Hague.. Houses small collection of interesting oils by local artists and the "Panorama": A 360 degree panoramic painting of the Hague and Scheveningen beach, circa 1900. I thought it would be gimmicky, but actually found it very interesting and we often take our visitors there.
Don't prepare yourself and allow yourself to be surprised by this unique experience. There is nothing like this anywhere in the world. Make it a detective experience: try to locate those buildings that actually still exist.
When you go through the dark corridor and go up the stairs you are in a different world - several artists created this huge panorama and it is extremely well presented - well worth a visit.
This is just an amazing, and different, experience. It is better if you have a "feel" for how Scheveningen looks today. It is fantastic if you are lucky enough to see how it has been done by getting behind the scenes. Worth a visit
This is an awesome experience where the artist drew the famous beach scheveningen on a wall 360 degrees. Highly recommended. Good to have a guide as there are so many details and secrets hidden by the artist in the drawing.
