I loved walking on the Promenade in all weather from sunny and calm to a 50 kmph North Sea storm. You taste the sea on the breeze.

I have visited this area in warmer weather and even though my visit was on 1st January this year, it still has appeal. It was cold, windy, many people were down here for the traditional "dip" into the icy water! There were rides for the kids, numerous food stalls. To my delight the Pier was opened and had lots of... Don't miss the fireworks and bonfires on NYE - a wonderful place to be surrounded by a mixed bunch of natives and foreigners, facing the ocean and enjoying this spectacular event!

We caught the tram from the centre of The Hague to visit this unique pier. It was a Sunday morning and there were plenty of families out enjoying walking, searching the stalls for bargains, and eating at one of the restaurants. The weather turned from sunshine to a blustery gale causing great waves on the sea which made our visit... More

Den Haag is the perfect place to rent a bicycle and see the Noordzee. There are plenty of stopping points along the way for hot chocolate.

A little cold and windy, probably because i've been there at night. However, the atmosphere is really relaxing/exiting. On one side you have the sea, on the other a lot of casinos and fun places c:

This walk along the Scheviningen Beach is one of my favourite things to do to relax in The Hague - spring, summer, fall. In addition to the beautiful wide white sand beach and surf, there are always activities and dog walkers. The dunes above have some historic German pill boxes that were important in WWII.

The promenade is very interesting with the modern sculptures. Brings a smile to your face looking at them. The pier is so different from what we expect to see in England. Bus 69 and Tram11 from Central Rail Station will get you there in 20 mins. restaurants galore. Long sandy beach.
