Feel the grandeur of the fifties

Very authentic. Interesting to see the differences between 1st and 2nd class in the dining rooms. The full tour includes the engine rooms with the desalination machine. Impressive!

Fascinating insight to the grand liners of the past.Do the full tour including the engine rooms which brings home the size of the ship.Staff all speak English and are very knowledgeable . The best way to get to the ship is by water taxi.Experience how luxurious transport was.

We had drinks on the upperdeck, next to the pool, it was a sunny afternoon and with a little imagination I could see my self travelling to the VS, like my grandmother has done on this ship in 1955.

Our aim was to have something for lunch and as the weather was nice enough to sit outside we went on deck where friendly staff took and served... More

This great old cruiseship is an tourist attraction in Rotterdam. You can sleep in one of the cabins as it is an hotel now. I just took the tour and that was a very nice daytrip for me as a local. The ship had may have cost to much to save from the scrapyard, but i believe it is a... More

The SS Rotterdam is well known by many Americans who cruised her during her active life. She is now permanently moored in own of the harbors and can be visited. Be sure to take the tour. There are two restaurants the Lido and the Captains room. The latter is a bit more formal but does not have a view on... More

Family Day on the deck with the wading pool was very relaxing. Service was fast and food was good. It's a small place and yet the turn-over was good enough to accommodate many groups.

Just spent two days on the ss Rotterdam, the old steamliner (1959) that connected Rotterdam with New York. Nowadays this beautiful old lady is a hotel in which you can relive the old romantic cruising days and yet you do not move an inch, cause the ship never leaves the quay. All the staff, both in the hotel and the... More
