We knew little about their products, and were pleasantly surprised to learn so much in so short a time. The employees are welcoming and kind. Watching them create beautiful pieces by hand was fascinating. The tour doesn't take long, but you'll leave with an appreciation of, and interest in, their lovely products and the care, patience, and skill required to... More

We reserved a workshop where we were able to "paint" our own piece. We got there early, had a nice lunch in the courtyard, spent time shopping in their shoppe, then took a self guided tour through the museum and factory. We then spent about an hour painting our own piece. They ship it back to the US for a... More

It was a very informative tour, understanding the history and the hardwork behind the beautiful Royal Delft creations. Every hand painted piece is an art and varies in design and color. From porcelain ware in yesteryear to the current ceramic, there is no compromising of the quality. After the introduction, we, 4 Singapore ladies began our shopping spree for pendants,... More

An interesting trip even for someone not interested in pottery/ceramics. We learned a lot about the painstaking effort each painter has to put in to come up with the final product, and to advance in their profession. It was interesting to learn the difference between the hand-painted pieces and those done with a stencil. You can see how these vary... More

It was nice to learn about the origins of the blue and white ceramics. It is a bit out of the way from the center and unless you are very interested in learning about the ceramics then I would not recommend it. I enjoyed watching the artist paint and seeing where the pottery is made. I suggest checking in other... More

The Royal Delft Porcelain Factory was wonderful - as were ALL of the attractions in Delft we visited! Would encourage visitors to watch the videos first for a good overview (we ended our time at the factory with the videos). The Delft version of The Night Watch is beautiful. Lots of wonderful displays of the various types of Delft-ware pottery... More

This long-time factory of Delfts Blauw, the famous blue earthenware from the Netherlands, has created a very interesting experience. Walking through the factory you can see how the earthenware is being created and processed. It also explains the more modern techniques being used to taylor to the market segment that is not willing to pay for handwork.

I don't know why the tour spent so much time there. It seemed to me more like a publicity campaign. Need not go here.

This is a definite "must" if you are visiting Delft. The presentation is excellent and very interesting. The Euros12 fee is quite reasonable. The audio tour is very good. Unlucky for us, it was a Saturday, so the factory was not fully working, although there was a master painter working on a piece of pottery and someone in the factory... More

Tour entertaining and informative lasting about an hour. Great for a wet day activity. A nod the cafe serves proper hot chocolate!
