Interesting tour and some beautiful displays of old pottery. Just bring lots of money for the gift shop. The little coffee shop was a nice place for a break also. More

While in The Neterlands, we took many day trips to small towns in and around Amsterdam. After taking a quick train ride to Delft, we found a taxi and ask the driver to give us a quick tour of the city and then take us to the Delft Ceramic Factory. He was wonderful! He had great knowledge of the city... More

In Delft you will find many porcelain items that have the classic blue-and-white color scheme associated with the town. The oldest brand is Delft Blue from De Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles. The factory is surprisingly small, but they offer a tour that includes a small garden, displays of some of the Delftware, and a walk-through of the actual factory area where... More

This is the one and only true delftware factory making handmade and handpainted pottery and other china. I prefer the traditional, but there are modern selections too. Soon the new visitor centre will open with a whole new experience. Go see the workmen paint the pottery, tiles and plates. More

It takes only about 40 minutes to do the (self guided) tour and it's realy nice to see how they make this famous Delft Blue pottery. The shop is big and nice, but expensive. I liked the christmas ornaments, as they make great souveniers After the tour we had a complete "afternoon tea' with scones, sandwiches and cakes at their... More

We had a great 'vehicle' that took us to the factory...the bicycle man who 'drove' us there. That was half the fun, the other half being the self-guided factory tour. We took our time and were able to decipher the exhibits and find our own way around the museum, which of course opened into an expansive (and expensive) museum. Naturally,... More
