The museum takes you through a journey to the time Vermeer lived and worked. You get to see replicas of all his works as well as learn about how he became one of the greatest and influential painters of all time. Well worth a visit.

You deserve this visit, especially if you go with children (in my case 3!). They receive a sheet with particular of the paintings and they have to write where they find them: simple and sharp!! Thus you can enjoy the exposition. Do no expect original paintings: but you get the flavors of that age and peculiar situation. Worthwhile

There are no real paintings of Vermeer here. In this centrum you learn about the life of Vermeer and also the techniques that he used in his paintings. I think it is too expensive for what you get (museumkaart holders only get a discount so no free entry). If you really want to know all of Vermeer life's and to... More

You're in the home town of Vermeer and one main visiting attraction is for sure Vermeer museum. You're going to be very excited thinking that it might the house he used to live in... But it is not... You'll think ok... it is not the house he lived in..so what?! at least there will be some paintings! But again...no...there are... More

A most informative and memorable visit. Allow enough time to study the wonderful educational exhibits. Beings within the town centre allow one to enjoy many cultural experiences in the one day. A lovely town.

I got married here so I'm biased. It's a beautiful building which stands at one end of the square. It has a special place for me and will always be an iconic building. You can enjoy the view from any one of the the bars and cafes that surround it: and watch the brides come in and out at the... More

We really enjoyed this little museum. Although there were no real paintings (go to the museums in Amsterdam to see some) the museum was really educational and informative. We learnt a lot about his technique and how he used light and shade in his art. It was also interesting to learn about the art community at that time in Delft... More

An excellent presentation of Vermeer's life and work. He was a ground breaking artist - and this center does justice to exploring his skill and techniques. Well worth a visit - even if you are not an art fanatic

A very well planned visitor attraction. Educational and pleasant. Although there are no original Vermeer paintings in the exhibition it does not take away from the experience. Very good coffee and cake!
