There are of course no Vermeer paintings in this tourist "attraction" on 3 floors, which gives some insight into the painter's work, subjects, technique. I found it very disappointing. If you are a group, for the price of 3 entry tickets, you could probably buy a good comprehensive book on Vermeer to keep.

Awesome place where you can learn all about the famous painter Vermeer and his works. Definitely take the audio tour, it guides you through the exhibitions and provides lots of excellent information. You start your visit with all of the works in chronological order and in the meantime you also learn about how life was like in the 17th century... More

I am not an "art"person, however this was the most amazing art museums i have visited recently. Museum consists of 136 known and famous paintings of Vermeer which are on the first level. Following floor is where visitors can make themselves acquainted with the techniques and origin of natural colour he used. The top floor gives the clue of each... More

the vermeerhuis is a very small museum compared to other museums in Den Haag like "the mauritshuis" or the "escher museum". the entrance price is medium. the museum describes in a very detailed way why vermeer's paintings are so important and famous all over the world. the museum describes in detail who the painting-style of vermeer changed over the years.

My wife and I found this exhibition (it cannot really be called a museum) dedicated to the artist Vermeer absolutely fascinating. The staff - I understand they are all volunteers - were friendly and extremely helpful and the audio commentary on the exhibits was excellent. At the end of the visit one can have refreshments in the small cafe.

For those interested in artists and the way they work, this makes a great visit, the only downside is that they don't have any of Vermeers paintings on display, but the story behind his painting makes up for that

First of all, this is not a museum. So do not expect to find the original paintings in here. That being said, it is nonetheless a GREAT place to educate yourself not only on Vermeer himself, but also on his paintings, his techniques and Delft history.

A delightful tribute to Vermeer and an insight into his life and Delft at that time. Sadly no originals but The Hague and Amsterdam are closeby.

I enjoyed the exhibition and certainly learned a lot about Vermeer and his world. It is sad that all of his paintings are elsewhere. The staff were excellent, the exhibition informative and well presented.
