This building is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful town hall in the Netherlands. Located at the heart of the city, one can easily find this building from afar. There is a square in from of it and many restaurants/cave nearby. One can enjoy his/her time there while seeing the beauty of the town hall. Please spend some... More

We had not heard about this town before and we stopped there just to have a breakfast. But when we once saw it we were amazed by its beauty. And the city hall and the main square were the highlight of the town. Don't miss it if you pass by!

You can see this beautiful building from far away in Middelburg and you instantly have the urge to get there. A lovely walk through town leads you there and I was astounded with the size and beauty of this old building. The interesting architecture and attention to detail grabs you and you could spend a lot of time just taking... More

This gothic style town hall of Middelburg is an eye-catcher, one of the beautiful buildings in the Netherland. We visited a part of the building where there was an exposition of the work of local artists. It's sure one of the most interesting things to see in Middelburg

We stopped off in Middelburg at the weekend and we were just blown away with the place, so clean, so tidy and so friendly. We just wanted a trip to Holland for a few hours and picked Middelburg as it was on the Zeeland, we were not disappointed with our experience either. It was just so pleasant to walk around... More

What a beautiful city. We were only able to take a short, night time tour, but it was still amazing. The history of the city stands out with the City Hall and cathedrals. If you get a chance make sure to visit.

If you have the opportunity to visit the interior, grab it! The City has done an excellent restorative work, especially the Great Hall, after almost complete devastation by Nazi air and artillery bombing in WWII. Well worth a visit.

A beautiful example of mediaeval profane architecture from the same architect family as the Town Halls of Antwerp and Brussels.
