It's a beer bar in an old church with Jacques Brel lyrics on the wall, how could it not be awesome? It's jam-packed on the busier nights so either go early or on a slower day. I've never eaten here, but the beer menu is lovely, if lacking in a bit of the more eclectic beers (like Flemish Reds; they've... More

My husband and I stumbled upon Cafe Oliver and were NOT disappointed! What a fun spot! It was extremely crowded when we walked in (around 5:30 PM on a Saturday), but that's to be expected on a Saturday evening. Nevertheless, we never waited for a beer for more than a minute or two - the bartenders were attentive and knew... More

This is more of a pub than a cafe or even restaurant. Main focus is on Belgium beers. This place is located very close the the Central Station so a great meeting place. I was there between 3 and 6pm on a Saturday so saw the increase of people. During the day there are more tourists and locals going for... More

The cafe is located in a converted church and is truly beautiful. The menu is limited like a typical cafe but they have a very good selection of beers. I had the goat cheese salad and my guest the quiche which were both very tasty and large portions. Certainly a place to visit for a light meal, snack, coffee or... More

Set in what looks like an old chapel, it is an interesting place to grab a beer and sandwich. The beer selection is MUCH wider than the food selection so you get a feel of where the emphasis lies. With the "saints" looking down at you while you are chugging down beer just felt a little irreverent, personally-speaking..

Stopped off here to eat, and the venue is interesting, being in a 'hidden' church. Lots of quirky things on the walls. Great selection of beers. Food only average, with not a lot of thought for taste. Certainly not for veggies. Very friendly staff.

I've been here last week, under suggestion of a friend. Nice location in this old Church. The menu is typical dutch food. I had salmon with vegetables and the inevitable fried chips. Food is in the average. I had also a beer and pay 20 euros. A suggestion to dutch people....eat different and lower the prices of the restaurants, sometimes really... More

This is a very very Dutch place, with no foreigners (not even non-Dutch Europeans I think), as a result, there were no English menus. We were a group of five Asians living in Amsterdam, visiting Utrecht. When we entered the place, almost all customers looked at us which only proved that they don't have foreigners often in this place. It... More
