I was there on foot, from the Utrecht Centraal and liked what I saw. After some adventures I arrived at Rietveld Schroder House and it was interesting to see, especially as it is one of the 10 UNESCO Monuments in Netherlands.

this place is filled with straight lines. i think most of the people who like modern stuff will love this museum. the guy died already 100 years ago but could have lived in this day and age.

Rietveld Schroeder House is one of the most important architectural buildings despite being a modest home. It represents a rupture from the traditional architectural styles, a step in modernity. Some important details, you need to make a reservation, the house is outside the city center but it is very pleasant walk, you could not take pictures inside the home and... More

This small house that requires advance reservation to get into is very much worth the effort and the planning that goes into visiting it. It is unique and fascinating - a gem for any architecture lover. The audio-guide provides a good narration about the house history, its owners and its creator (although part of the narration is a repetition of... More

Don't miss it. All you need to know. an architectural masterpiece. you will be one of 12 people on the tour and the combination of audio-set and tour guide works very well.

I've never seen a house like it! It's really amazing. Way ahead of it's time. Had read about it but to see it & with the guide explaining all the unique features - it was a delight. A few cafés / bars at the top of the road. Residential area with parking on the road.

There are seemingly a lot of obstacles in your path if you want to visit the Rietveld Schroder House: you have to book online (or by telephone on the day); it costs 14 euros and it is a bit of a distance from the city centre. Don't however let these admitted annoyances put you off. I was personally really glad... More

A must for all architecture lovers! We liked a lot the concept of the flexible inside walls. The friendly tour guide is showing the efficiency of it during the visit

If you like Modern this is a must see. This small, unique house sits on an ordinary street,so can easily be missed especially if you dont know about it. Its very radical in design, but well worth a visit,it will make you think seriously about modern design. The number of visits are restricted.
