If you are a fan of Mondrian or his contemporaries, this is not to be missed! It gives a fair view of his life as both a person and an artist. This museum is located in his actual house of birth, in the historic city of Amersfoort. It houses a replica of his Parisian studio. Apart from this, the Mondriaanhuis... More

A bit expensive 8€ for what is only partly a Mondrian museum. Very few pieces and mock up apartment with a projected image of a ghostly Mondrian moving around. Everything was in Dutch so we had to guess at the exhibits were about.

The Mondriaanhuis is where Mondriaan was born. They show some of his older work and his workshop in France, which is pretty cool. Upstairs there's room for the work of other artists that have a connection with Mondriaan or his work. It's not that big, but it's a beautiful building and if you take your time and don't rush through,... More

The location of this museum is the house were the known Dutch artist Piet Mondriaan was born (1872). It delivers a permanent exhibition about Mondriaan’s work and life and contains a life-size replica of his famous Paris studio. If you are up to the distinctive style of Piet Mondriaan, check out this interesting museum.

The location of this museum is just fantastic. You are in Amersfoort one of my favorite cities in the world. Yet, the museum in this canal house is a bit poor in what it offers. You will ask yourself "that's it?" That is becuase it is probably kept up by volunteers without much funding. Still, they are lazy. The collection... More

A nice and not too large museum, located in the old house where Mondriaan used to live. I liked the chronological overview of Mondriaan's life in one of the rooms. There is also a room with some of his early, lesser known works. And a replica of one of his ateliers. There are several rooms with temporary exhibitions of contemporary... More

If you like Mondrian then a short pilgrimage to his home in Amersfoort is a must. Although you can find good Mondrian's all over the place in Holland and abroad there is something very special to see his art in his house. Well worth the visit.
