Myself, my wife and daughter have visited Amerfoort zoo four times together, my wife & daughter liked it so much they purchased season tickets. There are a lot of big cats to see and members of the ape family and the dynosaur park is great fun. All in all this is a top day out with much to see and... More

The animals all seem really relaxed. The zoo has a good breeding program and there are new babies born on quite a regular basis. Although the zoo is not very large, the habitats are well designed and it is easy to see the animals close up. There are different themes throughout the zoo and there is even a separate dinosaur... Enjoy visiting this zoo a lot! All the animals seem so relaxing and being themselves in the friendly spacious habitat. Very well designed that each animal can be viewed very up close nearby from different angles which is excellent. No special animal show like other zoo but just feeding sessions with the keepers briefing (which is a minus that they... More

I love this zoo, it's one of the best I've ever visited. MUST: the NIGHT section. This is in the dark, so it takes a while before your eyes get used to the dark, but once they do, you'll see some cute creatures, AND SEVERAL SLOTHS! When I visited (june 2015) there was even a baby sloth, ahhw :)

Wonderful areas to meet the animals "up close". Watched a sloth + baby climbing past. The set up is fantastic.

After a quiet morning at the Von Gimborn Arboretum, we were ready for a little more activity in the area and decided on the Dierenpark. We do like to go to at least one zoo in every country we visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon here. It wasn't too crowded, the animal habitats were generally well-designed, and the variety of... More

I have been to this zoo numerous times in my 40 year life (my mum came to the zoo the day it opened and still visits when she comes back to Holland), and it never fails to impress me and now my wife and daughter. It is simply the best zoo.

The Amersfoort Zoo has some of the largest groups of animal families that I have ever seen, including dozens of various kinds of primates. This almost always makes for happier and more entertaining animals, and this zoo is no exception. It does mean the zoo has fewer kinds of species, but it's almost always a good trade-off. Some of the... More

It had been nearly 3 years since my last visit but since I am now in Amersfoort permanently I got a year pass and now go very often. I love walking through the zoo, the staff are always friendly. The variety of restaurants is great, and they all have very good food. The zoo is always improving, with new stuff... More
