Summer of 2012 we spent on Zandvoort beach. What a great and relaxing time. They have a great water park there for kids about 6 and older, water slides, jacuzzi's, lap pools, wave pools. But the beach at Zandvoort is great too, and we rented a cabana to keep the blowing sand off us. We rented an apartment for a... More

The wonderful service, facilities and location of Welkom-in nurtured our desire for another return visit to beautiful Zandvoort on the Ocean. I'm sure we will return for athird visit and we will tell our friends about Mekka and Frank and their wonderful hosspitality!!

we spontaneously decided to go to the north sea. bought all of the necessary attributes in Amsterdam and headed directly to the beach. It was a great place, with great beach. We thought it would be a bit cold, but the weather was also perfect. the only disappointing thing was that the only food we could get was some greasy... More

Nice, little seaside place with kilometers of sandy beaches and crazy seagulls screaming like crazy. But, for a greek-island-expert (as I am) this is no more than a short-distance seaside break from other dutch attractions. Sorry, this is just for enjoying with the cup of warm rum-tea. From inside :-)

Great walks to be had along the beach and the long stretch of seafront at any time of year. Plenty of stalls selling food if you get hungry. Lovely clean beach, well maintained area. Good for families, walking dogs, couples, everyone!

In Amsterdam visiting friends, despite the City and it's museums etc being brilliant, hit on a period of super weather so a trip to the seaside was the order of the day. Fast frequent train service from Amsterdam Centraal, a short stroll out of the station brings you to a fabulous beach, goes on for miles, shallow sea, lots of... More

It is so cool that you can just sit in the train for half and hour and be at the see. I had a wonderful relaxed and sunny day there with a little swimming and cocktails

Lovely place to let your mind be at peace and just enjoy the sea breeze while watching the waves and people enjoying their time on the beach. As we were there, the beach area was not so crowded, so I just enjoy the peacefulness and the freshness of the sea breeze while watching the waves rolling.

We stayed near this beach in March, it was soooo windy and quite cold, but that didnt stop my children from putting their feet in the water. I can only imagine how lovely it would be in the summer time. It is a long beach, so you could walk quite some way and get a workout or just wander and... More

This is a huge stretch of sea and beach, suitable for seemingly endless relaxed hike on the beach or a day visit with friends or family at the beach restaurants. I visited in winter, and ate fish frieds on a one of the kiosks after 2 hours walking in the cold wind with huge waves splashing at the sides. I... More
