Small, easy to maneuver museum. Highly recommend the hand held audio tour device. More

This is a BEAUTIFUL building with just a very interesting collection of science and natural history objects. The setting is so different and gorgeous it is worth a visit if you are in town. More

Teylers Museum in Haarlem, the Netherlands owns a time machine. Not literally, of course, but as you step into the entry hall you are transported to what a museum would look like in the 19th Century. Imagine mis-matched display cases and a jumble of fossils, Enlightenment "hi-tech," paintings and an impressive coin collection. Each item exhibited has a small slip... More

Teylers Museum is really nice with a wide variety of exhibits and things to look at. Thanks to audio guides one can easily walk around the museum with a "guide" focusing on the things that are the most interesting. More

I found all the fossils, bones, machines overwhelming and tiresome. I did enjoy the contemporary exhibit they had going on. More

This museum has a little of everything. Think of the Smithsonian collections rolled into one on a small scale. The architecture inside and out is worth a visit on its own merit. More

This museum is housed in a gorgeous building that was constructed to hold it - it opened in 1784, and is the oldest museum in the Netherlands. it has a variety of truly amazing exhibits, from fossils to minerals to scientific instruments - which sounds boring but is most definitely NOT! Arranged in beautiful wood and glass specimen cases are... More

It's great how they kept the pristine state of the old original building, and combined it with a whole new building, where you can even have drinks outside on the terrace. Both lovers of archaeology, physics and art can find something they like in this museum. Absolutely worth a visit! It's closed to the city centre, so it only takes... More

This place was great. Fossils. Ancient science equipment. Crystals. Fine art. Coinage. It's got a bit of something for everyone. I just wish I'd had my 12 yr old nephew with me to share it. More
