For those who do not limit the program with typical museums... Here you will find a fantastic collection of bags of all countries and all times. You will see necessaries (I have read a lot about them and it was my first time to see them), suitcases, road sets... let alone women bags and clutches of all the forms, some... More

The collection is superb. It's an easy place to visit--a bit off-beat but educational and a downright fun way to spend a couple of hours.

If you have time and enjoy fashion. It is a small nice little break on a bad weather day. Gift shop has great bags by Dutch designers.

Found this museum after hearing about it from a guidebook. It wasn't too difficult to find. It is located directly across from the Waldorf Astoria hotel as well and is about a 5 minute walk from the Hermitage museum. Yes this is a small museum but I thought it was interesting and all the info was in English and Dutch... More

Wow what an incredible collection!! It was so interesting to see how bags have evolved over time right from the 16th Century. the 9 Euro entrance fee was worth it to see such a good collection of both historical pieces and iconic designer pieces. The museum itself was in a lovely location canal side, inside it was very nicely decorated... More

This is a very interesting museum with an outstanding collection of handbags and purses. My husband did point out to me that he was the only guy in the museum when we were there but he admitted that it was an interesting collection.

This museum is right in the heart of Amsterdam so it is very easy to get there using public transport. Using a tram would be the best bet. It is on Herengracht or the gentlemen's canal. The museum is unique and maybe there is only one in the world!! It is filled with handbags and purses of all sizes, shapes... More
