As a member of a mardi gras krewe that covets the purse, this was a must see for me. There are Barbie displays and shoes and a cup from the Titanic and a bag shaped like a diet coke can and all sorts of stuff. All that was missing was a genuine Krewe of Nyx purse! I think we should... More

A cute museum. Not a must, a bit weird subject for a whole museum, but if you have time go there. The building is very beautiful.

My sister and I decided to visit this museum even though we are not huge handbag afficionados based on a recommendation. We enjoyed it, but more for the eccentricities of the place than for the bags. There are Barbie displays and shoes and a cup from the Titanic and a bag shaped like a diet coke can and Dutch lunch... More

This interesting museum has a big collection of bags that I never had seen in other place. With a good location and installed in a new building had an agreement with Amsterdam Card.

I took my two daughters (4 and 7) to look at all the beauiful handbags. It is a must see for women. It's three floors and won't take too long to walk through. Beautiful pieces of artwork! My husband came but wished he could have stayed at the pub around the corner :)

If ever there was a museum that I was looking forward to spending time in, this was it: Tassenmuseum Hendrikje (Museum of Bags and Purses). I’m a serious handbag gal so for me, I was about to step into heaven. Housed in a lovely property overlooking Herengracht Canal, the collection is beautifully displayed over 3 floors. When I purchased my... More

The collection of bags and purses was OK but the highlight of our visit here was a stop-off at the cafe. Very comfortable, and it looked like the afternoon tea was delicious!

I loved this little gem! It was so fun to see all the old bags and purses and being a fan-collector, I was very pleased to see a few old fans as well. Well worth the entry price and it's right in the city centre, so if you are on a busy sightseeing schedule, you can make a quick visit.... More

A very fun museum to do when you just arrive in Amsterdam and are jet lagged but do not want to nap. We took our three girls there right after we arrived from the US ( east coast) and we really enjoyed it and it helped to pass the time. It is a visual museum with lots of color, sparkle... More
