Took my mom here, who really loves purses, and we really enjoyed it. The museum is very nice, the pieces are explained well. There was a great variety! The cafe at the end was very cute, wish we could have eaten there but we did buy some chocolates to take with us.

Educational, stylish and classy. Undoubtedly worth visiting for all fashionistas or just ppl who are not neutral to bags culture.

I detoured into this museum on recommendation from a few friends and really enjoyed. Don't bring your husband or boyfriend, they just won't appreciate it. THey do an afternoon tea too. By all means go - especially if you have the museumkart.

Being a man one wonders why the hell a museum is needed for bags... My wife buys too many anyway! However, having seen it now I have to say, though grudgingly, that is worthwhile. Not only what they show, but also where they show it. Don't forget to ask to have a look at their beautifull restored rooms (for hire)... More

I went to this museum with fiends who were more enthusiastic about this specialised fashion accessory than I, and was pleasantly surprised. There are interesting displays explaining the history end evolution of the bag and purse and (so I am lead to believe) some 'gorgeous ' examples on display. The building itself was an interesting example of a fine canal... More

Went to Amsterdam with a friend who had seen this exhibition, you enter via the shop and then into a beautiful period house full of beautiful handbags and accessories from across the globe and through history . Very interesting and enjoyable . We had high tea in the restaurant at €19.95 per person , may sound expensive but was delicious... More
