This centrally located museum was a very nice break for us. They have a very informative collection, according to time period and sort of the pieces. Explanations about the materials used in the bags are very useful. Such beautiful pieces they have, not only for women to admire, but also (as said in the video that plays inside the museum)... More

This is a charming museum and the items are displayed in an informative manner. I never knew there was so much to know about bags and purses. It reminded me a little of the Shoe Museum in Toronto. The researchers did a great job of explaining or describing the objects on view and the displays were well designed. We are... More

Cute little museum, tucked away in residential neighborhood. Fascinating exhibits from the earliest types of purses through to the present. Staff very pleasant.

It doesn't take long to around this museum but it has an interesting collection. Enjoyed it. The pleasant lady at reception has the correct idea.......take the lift to the 3rd floor and work your way down

Very interesting small museum with a wonderful collection of handbags and purses from the past and present. There is also a lot of information on the history and uses of various bags and purses. A must see for fashion lovers!!

As a nice husband I volunteered to try this museum. It doesn't look like much from the outsides, bu inside it's nice and quiet. The exhibition was much better and more interesting than I expected. The only reason I didn't give it 5 star, is because my wife bought a purse there.

A great collection and history of handbags and purses. It isn't a huge museum but still worth visiting if you are interested in fashion.

My wife liked this a lot. It was kind of interesting, but I have been to better museums. Don't let her into the gift shop, it'll cost you.

Traveling with a 13-year old girl has its challenges. However - if you really want to get their attention, find quirky, fun, easy museums that you can visit that interest them. The Museum of Bags and Purses in Amsterdam is just this sort of place. First, the location is absolutely divine. It is on a quiet canal and easily within... More
