In all we paid four visits To Aran during a weekend break to Amsterdam. We were staying at a nearby hotel so it was very handy for us. Our first visit was on a Friday evening when we sat in the sunshine on the outside terrace watching all the boats go by on the canal. While we were sat there... More

After a hard night out on the town, the big Irish breakfast here is fantastic and almost medicinal. Good value at €9.50 before midday. Sausages, proper rashers, black and white pudding beans eggs etc.

We just arrived on an early flight so after dropping our luggage at the hotel nearby we walked over, grabbed a terrace table overlooking the canal and had breakfast. The choices are good and the Irish breakfast is great. So great that I drank a small Guinness at 10 in the morning out of ancestral obligation. The weird thing is... More

Not far from the Rjiksmuseum and Volderspark, a little Irish gem. Situated near and behind the Hard Rock Cafe and all the shops with a Casino opposite, it has a great canal view with a great terrace to sit in the sun and people watch! Serving the traditional Irish fare and Guinness, i ordered a Heineken (i know!) and a... More

Visited this place twice over the last three days, most recent being this morning. On the first day a group of 7 entered for breakfast. I asked on mine for both black puddings to be taken off and the mushrooms and maybe replace this by chucking me an extra slice of bacon to which the waiter replied abruptly, No. She... More

I have never seen such rude service. After waiting for about 25 minutes, a disheveled waiter who looks like an American biker came out and stated "guys, relax, you are on vacation, no need to rush". When someone asked what is the specialty on the menu, answer was "guys, I am not a walking menu, read the menu, tell me... More

a cool pub with great menu as well as for eating and an even greater terrace than its hrc neighbour... no way you can miss the sun on such an open place... and close to the canal of course for maximum freshness... plus Morgane's smile :-)

Just been here watching the Holland and Austrailia World Cup football match. Sitting outside watching on the large screen. Drinks are way more expensive than anywhere else around. We'd had hot snacks and three rounds of beers. on the last round we ordered, paid up front and 20 mins later had to ask three times for our beers. Crazy system... More
