This was a great place to take a break in the middle of canal district sightseeing at the intersection of Herengracht and Herenstraat. When you've dodged your umpteenth kamakazi bicyclist, stop here and relax for a moment. The selection of beers, which come with advice from the bartender, is excellent. The place has personality, and good music too. It is... More

Really enjoyed our evening here. Tasted 5 different beers. Also enjoyed a cheese and sausage platter. You can drink inside or outside along the canal.

Best place for beer in Amsterdam. Knowable and friendly staff. Fantastic selection. Not a lot of space so get there early. Just wish they had more food.

I found this bar recommended in a tourist guide, my wife and I decided to have a pre dinner drinks there and loved it to bits. I am a big fan of Camra etc in UK and appreciate good real ales. I have often worked in Holland many years ago, and always thought Dutch beer was all the same (Euro... More

This is an awesome beer drinking experience. The staff are friendly and help with recommendations. They have 30 beers on tap and 100 or so more in bottle. They have a copper-top bar, which is great to sit in front of and watch the night unfold. It does get busy, there are seats outside. I have been twice and will... More

Thirty beers on tap; all Dutch, all the time. To sit at the big bay window overlooking the most beautiful canal in Amsterdam, glass of quadrupel in hand, is to experience a truly intense state of mellow. An outstanding bar even in this city crammed with great bars, and definitely worth going out of your way to visit. Snacks are... More

Sitting in this bar felt like being at a constant beer festival with 30 craft beers to choose from. The atmosphere was nice and laid back as well - no loud music to shout over. The staff are very helpful and gave good recommendations without being in any way intimidating like most other craft beer establishments. It gets busy, so... More

This bar is a not-to-be-missed experience! If you are a beer connoiseur, this place has an unbelievable array of beer, both on draft and in bottles, all of Dutch origin. If you are not a beer expert, then the friendly staff will be on hand to recommend something, based on the kind of beer you like. My partner and I... More

We only had 3 nights in Amsterdam but spent 2 of them at this great bar. The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable. If you are not sure which drink to choose, there are hundreds, just tell them behind the bar what you like and they will find something for you. Great atmosphere, great beer, great staff, great place. I... More
