Thirty beers on tap; all Dutch, all the time. To sit at the big bay window overlooking the most beautiful canal in Amsterdam, glass of quadrupel in hand, is to experience a truly intense state of mellow. An outstanding bar even in this city crammed with great bars, and definitely worth going out of your way to visit. Snacks are... More

Sitting in this bar felt like being at a constant beer festival with 30 craft beers to choose from. The atmosphere was nice and laid back as well - no loud music to shout over. The staff are very helpful and gave good recommendations without being in any way intimidating like most other craft beer establishments. It gets busy, so... More

This bar is a not-to-be-missed experience! If you are a beer connoiseur, this place has an unbelievable array of beer, both on draft and in bottles, all of Dutch origin. If you are not a beer expert, then the friendly staff will be on hand to recommend something, based on the kind of beer you like. My partner and I... More

We only had 3 nights in Amsterdam but spent 2 of them at this great bar. The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable. If you are not sure which drink to choose, there are hundreds, just tell them behind the bar what you like and they will find something for you. Great atmosphere, great beer, great staff, great place. I... More

Excellent real ale bar in central Amsterdam a must visit for beer drinks. I tried the following ones.. Jopen lentebier (spring beer) nice hoppy citrus beer De Prael Andre (spring beer) lovely malty beer of spring. Brouwerij Hommels Molotov (winter beer) excellent dark brown winter ipa with zing at the end... Too many to choose from what a choice. Lovely... More

How good it was to spend time in Jordan and go to this bar. Some real and genuine atmosphere away from the madness elsewhere. Superb choice, and helpful staff. Not too expensive. Wish we had not had lunch elsewhere as the cheese and sausage platters looked great.

Canal side, bar, we found just by chance. We were looking for somewhere to eat and this place only does snacks, but we spoke to the friendly owner/manager and agreed we would return to sample their fine selection of ales We did indeed return and they had 14 ales on draft, plus a wide selection of bottled beers A good... .. as e.g. they have over the last 2-3 years got much more keen over asking for "last orders" earlier and earlier..I don't mind being asked what I want for my last drink at 11.40 but tonight it was 11.30 and then 5 minutes later, they put industrial strength cleaning fluid on the draining trays on the bar - and... When visiting Amsterdam if you want Dutch beers this is the place to come. It is we think unique in Amsterdam for selling only Dutch beers, no Belgium beers or indeed any other countries beer. It has a large selection on tap and many more in bottles. The staff are very well informed and friendly and will help you with... More
