The HMH was an ok venue for a gig, annoying things were the token system for The bar. Found a lot Of my time queueing. I'd advise anyone to Get in early and get a good spot up the front as standing area is flat, any tall People in front of You and your view is limited.

My boyfriend and I went to the HMH for te first time and the acoustics were just horrible. We had great seats but the quality of the music left a lot to be desired.

We went here to see Video Games Live last night and have been here to see War of the Worlds in the past. The hall is a great place to hold events. Lots of room to walk around. Bathrooms and lockers in one area, food and drinks on another. They use tokens to buy food and drinks also. The two... More

Reaching the hall takes a while...its about a 25-30 mins ride from the central station. We chanced upon going here as the Amsterdam dance festival was just beginning and they had some great artists playing here. The place is large and amazing in terms of the acoustic experience. If you happen to be in Amsterdam while a concert is happening... More

We were here for the concert of London Grammar and really enjoyed it. 5500 People can attend a concert here. If you come early you can even sit if you like. The sound is very good, it is really build for music. You have to buy coins to get something to drink, a big negative point. Lockers are 5 Euro... More

The sound was fantastic on the night we came to see the circa waves and the libertines. Good , big venue , with a smoking room upstairs, a bit like in an airport. Loads of bars a quick service - you must change your euros for tokens ( munten) before you can purchase food or drinks.

I have been here on a couple of occasions now for gigs, once for Macklemore and once for The Lumineers. I had a fantastic night both times, venue is quite spacious so allows a large crowd but not cramped and has a really good atmosphere. Sound quality was very good and there wasn't really anywhere in the venue which you... More

it goes to show how a purpose built music venue can alter how you experience the artist. We got to HMH just after the support act started, did not wait for a second to have our tickets and bags checked. Headed to the bar, after exchanging euros to beer tokens (these machines do not give change!! silly mistake, 50euros down)... More

I seen Lana Del Rey here and was a good experience. It is a bit hard to get too if you stay in Amsterdam as not very well sign posted on the railway maps. Although I loved this for a concert, its got a real modern feel when you first go into the place although can be a bit confusing... More
