Best coffeeshop

Good milkshakes, friendly staff, good atmosphere compared to other coffeeshops I visited. The staff explained in detail about the greenery and there is plenty of variety.

This was the best coffee shop I visited. I liked the laid back feel...The decor was nice. Some of the chairs actually had backs (I don't understand why coffee shops all seemed to have just stools, I hate stools). The weed I got there was high quality and the guy seemed to really know his stuff and was super friendly.... More

The shop has a busy feel to it and everyone seems happy and chilled to be there. My friends were downstairs at the till ordering whilst I went upstairs to grab a seat. It was not evident that tables were 'waited' on so I went to the second floor where there was a sign labeled 'Table Service'. I asked the... More

Went here with wife to sample the local greenery, warmly greeted and nice menu with plenty of choice. One of the nicer shops around the city!

I've been to amsterdam a couple of times and explored the coffee shops around the city but for pure atmosphere I have always returned to Dampkring. The place is excellent in its ambiance and quite cosy (not very commercial atleast in looks). Its probably a bit more expensive than the other shops but you also get good quality stuff and... More

Good prices, people behind the counter know what they are giving you and can explain everything you ask about, only down fall is even if you purchase from the smoke counter you still cant stay without buying a drink

Excellent coffee shop with a very nice interior, cool crowd and top quality weed. You will also meet Bowie, the house cat of cannabis. The bar staff are cool, the weed dispensers are very informative and helpful also. One of the better coffeeshops in Dam!

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
