I had several chinese meals there and visited chinese supermarket there as well. There is an authentic chinese Buddhist temple worth visiting for merit-making. As this is a real chinatown you can see the chinese community going about their business and daily life style. The foods - be it dim sum, noodles with soya chicken or roast duck, or more... More

Use to be a somewhat seedy part of Amsterdam, still the entrance to the red light district. But things have changed, its uograded, good restaurants and lost of cafe's. Dont skip Chinatown, its around the corner. More

No so long ago junks and thiefs ruled the Zeedijk, just around the corner of the Red Light District. But things changed for the (much) better. The street attracts more and more boutique stores (shoes, vintage, food) and hosts many nice Chinese supermarkets and Asian restaurants as well as (veru) old 'Brown cafes'. You'll love this street! More

The Zeedijk is one of the oldest parts of Amsterdam. You will find Amsterdam history on the dyke and its surroundings. Like cafe "in 't aepjen" and "Proeverij de Ooievaar".
