As we decided to take a cruise, we also saw Amsterdam from canals. Interesting information is provided during cruise, including facts about Emperor's canal and all the other routes. Take a canal cruise, it will give you a new dimension of Amsterdam.

This canal is lined with beautiful structures and residences. Our hotel faced onto it and it was a pleasure to step outside the door and greet the city. Walking along the canal to other linking pathways was delightful.

A canal tour is a great way to see the city and get some great photos-sure, it is touristy, but who cares!!

Our hotel was on this canal, as was a couple of the restaurants we dined at. Very beautiful, especially at night. Just need to watch out for the bicycles which are everywhere.

Take one of the canal trips and learn more of Amsterdam's heritage. Gazing at these marvellous buildings show what an amazing history Amsterdam has to offer the traveller/tourist.

Some of Amsterdamse Grandest houses and fanciest banks have their head offices on this the Emperors canal. I love walking along and around this canal and visiting my money at Bank Mees and Hope. You will see some fantastic examples of Grand Dutch homes and different styles of gables on the roofs, there's step, bell funnel, neck and raised cornice gables,... More
