Grab a breakfast from a local bakery and enjoy strolling along the canal. Beautiful scenery and great people watching.

you can't miss the west part of the city, there you have the Jordaan and the 3 most important canals, which are on the UNESCO Heritage List. emperor's canal is one of them and if you ask me this is one of the most beautiful and perfect places for a walk or even a canal cruise

This was a nice experience. Nothing fancy but it made getting to know Amsterdam easy. You could begin exploring areas along the canals and decide which you wanted to visit first.

Atmospheric canal/street lined with Amsterdam postcard houses. Another nice place to stroll and watch what's going on.

The canal system is beautiful and very handy for tourists. The houses along the canal are so beautiful especially they look very beautiful in late evenings... Exquisite...

The architecture along this canal is a great example of the best of Amsterdam. I think this was one of the first canals to be constrcted and is lined with excellent examples of Amsterdam's houses. Like many of the canals, it still has an atmospheric feeling of the history of the city.
