The Keizersgracht canal is one of the more beautiful canals in Amsterdam. Most of the best hotels and shops are located there and it's part of the Nine streets, where some of the most frequented cafes are present. You can also hop on one of the boats for a tour or for a ride to another location. Just be careful... More

We took a Canal cruise down this canal and it was awesome. The houses are really beautiful! I highly recommend checking it out!

Absolutely lovely to stroll around the canals and stop at one of the many cafes for a coffee or a drink later in the afternoon. Summertime is absolutely wonderful with all the cafes popping up terraces.

There are many tour companies that offer a tour of the city through the Canal. It's a great view and very relaxing.

This historical canal in the centre of Amsterdam is a must see. It is lined with house boats and houses on the typical architectural style of Amsterdam. It is rich in history and it is worth reading up about it, or find a local tour guide to tell you of the many interesting spots along this canal.

A canal boat ride is a must in Amsterdam, very interesting. Choose an all English ride, if you speak the language, otherwise the tour goes through 6 languages with each sentence. Lovely homes, interesting house boats, and lots of water/canal information.

My husband lived on a houseboat in this canal 35 years ago and it was a trip of remembrance to visit the area again. We had a charming walk all over the area and stopped for a coffee and snack. Lots to see and do daily.

We have been to Amsterdam many times. It is lovely to walk around the canals and seems to be very safe. If you are feeling a bit naughty walk over to the red light district. It is an odd place with women sitting in little rooms with windows to the street. Felt like a vending machine of women somehow. The... More
