Stunning location, stayed in a beautiful little hotel on this canal. Close to shopping, museum (Anne Frank), transport and dining. Try Arendsnes (brown cafe) on this canal. Great beer and bar snacks.

You won't understand why the fascination regarding canals until you have been in Amsterdam. Although they all look the same, the culture, the neighbourhood, the time of the day gives great unique photo opportunities.

Great walks or take a canal trip to see the variety of houses along the canal. The various canals have different styles.

Herengracht is very much in the center of Amsterdam, and is lined by canals and iconic eateries. With Rembrandtplein being in close proximity, there are multiple entertainment options to choose from. This area is serviced by almost all trams and accessibility is a breeze.

I had a lovely long walk along this canal before dipping into the 9 straatjes and the jordaan to look for a new home... It helped inspire confidence that the jordaan is an area wortgt considering to be close to such a nice place for a walk. That the surrounding streets are so busy makes this an island of tranquility... More

Along with Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht, these principal canals show Amsterdam at its finest. Beautiful, charming and with much architectural interest.

This is such a lovely area - fantastic architecture that is so typical of this beautiful city. You want to sit a little and walk a little and have a drink or lunch in one of the many eateries. Take your time and take it all in. Then go shopping...
