We saw Michael Franti at the Paradiso which was an awesome concert in the heart of Amsterdam. The venue is pretty cool and a lot of musicians have played here so a neat experience to see a concert if one is playing here while you are traveling through. One thing to know ahead of time, they make you pay a... More

Been to paradiso twice on my trip to amsterdam. Like many of the breweries and bars around this is another church converted to club. Once i went in it had some live gig playing. and another time it was a club night. The staff at rude at entrance and on cloak room ( though i have never seen a polite... More

Amazing place for late light live music party animals. Not exactly my usual timeframe but we just had to go because the London Calling festival featured an Aussie rock band called The Delta Riggs. It was 2:40 am and to our surprise was fully packed with revellers. Individual and crowd behavior was surprisingly good and the atmosphere was lively but... More

Great venue, so much history and great bands (though they used to book better bands in my opinion). The only truly negative aspect of this venue is the staff mainly the security staff, they are often very rude. And it has been like this for years, that's very unfortunate. The prices are okay. And their website is very messy.

Maybe we were not ready - but the parties are more relaxed and not crazy It was nice and nothing more, music does not really move (but again we are not use to chill parties, Electronic music and so). Entry at 10:00 12 Euro

Had a great time there at a 5 euro party. We came a bit before midnight and it was still empty but an hour later the place was full with people and great vibes

We booked tickets to see Jools Holland - who was amazing can I say. There were no seat numbers on the tickets so thought it would be tables and chairs and sit where you could. We got in at 19.15 - door opened at 1900 and found that there were no seats in the main hall, just benches round each... More

this club is really cool, the people are nice and not overdressed, there are a lot of local people, too. they sell water ice, which I think is a great idea. the prices are okay, the music is not the most danceable but still more than alright, there are different floors. really cool place!

Anyone who loves live music should take the opportunity to see a live show at Paradiso, Amsterdam if they have the chance. I have been lucky enough to see a lot of shows around the world and this venue is probably my number one. Originally built as a Church, it became a "pop" music venue in the late 60's and... More
