Amstelpark is at it,s most charming between april and oktober. During my walk on a sunny afternoon in January is was still pleasant for the evergreen vegetation in the japanese gardens and the first winter and spring flowers.

I love Amsterdam but this was our first trip to this park, extremely sad for the poor animals left there, please please please sort this out, somebody, anybody, please give these last few remaining animals a life they deserve , and proper food and living quarters. other than that the park was lovely.

A wealth of plants and trees to discover when strolling through the park. Entertainment for the children in a special part of the park. When the weather is nice the park attracts a lot of people from all over the place. Former flower and botanical exposition area that was called the Floriade in 1972 .

Biked through the entire Park with hubby. Even though it was chilly we loved the park . It was Monday so no one was there and only one restaurant was open .

We went on a weekday and it was very quiet, only usually seeing other people every now and then. It's basically a big park with lots of botanical sections and pathways curving around. An ice cream shop, mini golf, a train around the park and some interesting sculptures. It seemed the place would have more going on at peak times... More

Beautiful park close to the Rai station, Novotel and Holiday Inn as well as Amstel river. Full of surprises, good for couples, families with children or joggers. Great way to relax from the busy city. As a bonus there is a windmill (Riekermolen) next to the southern park gate.

This is a great park in Amsterdam, there is a lot of art that's spread amongst the park which is awesome. There is also a train you can take if you don't want to walk. Great for everyone!

A bit south off central Amsterdam and well connected by tram (number 4), metro (number 50 and 52) and train, you can find a wonderfully kept garden which offers a quiet moment and an opportunity for children to play and enjoy themselves. I work near the park so I go there every lunch time for a couple of years now... More
