Even though the Cobra museum is considered a small museum they always managed to amaze. I recently saw the Miro Cobra exhibition and it's truly inspiring how they create it. They make such god use of their space, creating look throughs and mazy kinda passage way, which makes evrey exhibition an adventure.

This is one of Amstelveen's most important museums. It opened in 1995, but their exhibitions and building are very contemporary. Of course, they focus on the period of CoBrA. This only lasted from 1948 to 1951, although the legacy and influence seem to be based on a much longer period! Excellent works by Karel Appel, Constant and Corneille - and... More

This is the museum of the post-war Copenhagen - Bruxelles - Amsterdam art movement (1948-51). When we visited there was an interesting special exhibition celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the birth of the Danish painter Asger Jorn (and another exhibition with works of no relevance to CoBrA). It was a pity that only a few of the permanent collections... More

Nice place to visit with kids as they get to do their own thing. Small and elegant gallery and certainly worth ONE visit - if you're in the area.

First time we visited. Shame on us. It's great! This time there's a superb exhibition "from the Guggenheim collection to the Cobra Museum Amstelveen". Splendid, colourful, refreshing. We spend about 1.5 hours there and did not see time passing. We loved it! The museum is within easy reach from downtown AMS with tram nr 5. Although photos cannot do justice... More

On a rainy day in June visiting this museum was great. Good parking facilities in the nearby modern and relaxed shopping centre. In combination with the Gugenheim Collection wel worth the money. Very friendly staff. Is was also great to see some of the faumous dutch Cobra-painters
