We ended up spending our last day in Amsterdam at the zoo, and although a slightly different pace to our travels around the city centre, it was such a great way to spend a day. The queue to get in meant a short wait, but there were pamphlets to keep us entertained and the queue moved quickly. By the time... More

If you like going to zoos, go to this zoo, it's a lot of fun and it has a lot of interesting animals from various parts of the world. But the fact that it is in Amsterdam doesn't really bring any distinction to this zoo. Yes it is in the middle of the city and that's not ordinary, but you... More

You can spend a day at this zoo so easily. There is a lot to see, lots of animals and exhibitions. Preferably on a sunny day.

After reading the reviews here, I wasn`t sure to go to the zoo, but the weather was quite nice, so we decided to check out the zoo. The queue was quite big, we had to wait about 15-20 minutes to get in. The zoo is quite big for a zoo in middle of the city. Our first impression was that... More

A fairly good sized zoo with a good variety of animals. A good day out I'm sure if you live locally but if you're in Amsterdam for just a few days I wouldn't prioritiSe it.

Really enjoyed our visit to this zoo, it had all the main animals you would expect (Giraffes, Elephants, Gorillas etc) and lots more. A very enjoyable day out.

it was a fantastic day, spent hours there! loads to see and do, as well as the animals there was an aquarium and butterfly pavilion. Also how buildings dedicated to reptiles and insects. Huge place! Great but exhausting day.

I really liked this zoo, the elephants were my favourite. I wish there was a chance to interact with the animals for example feeding them.
