Definitely recommend it if you are with a significant other. I went there with my wife and we both had a great time exploring it. It is a very unique museum unlike anything we have seen before. Plus the entry is only 4 Euro. If you are visiting Amsterdam, this is a a no-brainer. Enjoy!

PROS: - In the middle of Damark and walking distance to the Centraal Station, the location is convenient and is just by the side of the busy streets - Sex + Museum = fun concept. What can go wrong? - At Euro 4/pax, it's cheap by Amsterdam sights standards - Nice toilet - it's different for sure CONS: - Seriously... More

Was a bit disappointed to be honest as almost the entire exhibition was made up of photographs or paintings .. And some of the photos are rather 'perverse' .. I'm glad it only cost €4 to get in! Would not recommend.

My husband and I visited this for a laugh, it only cost 4 euros each and there were lots of silly and rude things to see. If you are easily offend by porn then this may not be the place for you. We were both in a frisky mood after a visit here!

I visited the Sexmuseum on my last visit to Amsterdam and found it was not to my taste. I don't know whether it's because it was because the amount of pornography on the walls clogged my brain or whether it's because I think sex is more than just porn. It all felt gimmicky, from the plastic man in the overcoat... More

Given the reputation of Amsterdam, I expected their sex museum to wow me more than the one in NYC. I was disappointed in that it was about 70% photos. While they were informative and unexpected for the time they were taken, I would have liked to learned more about the history of sexual revolution. They did have some really cool... More

This was such good value for money, costs 4 euros per person and located on the main road leading to the central square. There is a variety of things to see from famous erotic trademark names who made it posing naked such as Marilyn Monroe. There are really cool artefacts in there and lots of real life pornographic pictures from... More

I thought it was a funny museum, it had interesting information but it was more hilarious and slightly embarrassing in a funny way. I think it's one of those things you hear about before you go and then have to do when you get there. We went early and there was nobody else in the museum. Definitely worth a visit.

visited the museum with an immature friend of mine and we had a fantastic time - we'd come to amsterdam for her birthday, visited the red light district and been in the sex shops so this seemed fitting. had such a good time and actually learned a few things. there were a few dodgy characters lurking but that added to... Neighborhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
