More of an Erotic Art Gallery

Was more of an Erotic Art Gallery than a museum. Lots of paintings, photos and statues from around the world and across time. Worth ?7? Unfortunately, probably not.

Wasn't really impressed visiting here ,I suppose you would expect a bit more than what was on offer to be totally honest I wouldn't go back but I suppose it was something to do to fill a bit of time up in the day

what a waste of time and money. 7euros to get in and some old photos showing it was going on years ago but that's it. Wouldn't recommend it at all.

Definitely something worth going for just for the sake of it. The erotic Disney movie literally ruins your childhood, probably best to go in you are stoned. Wish i was. I paid 7 Euros and it was over in 10minutes...pun intended.

Loved this place, the museum showed the funny side of its famous trade. Would recommend this to those who are there for a sight seeing trip and booze up break away x

Hilarious, careful going down the stairs.. There's boobs hanging on the wall spraying water when you pass it. My girlfriend shocked and tripped down the stairs!

This is defiantly worth a look if you're up for a laugh in the red light district. I visited with my boyfriend and we most certainly had a laugh. The john lennon part of it was actually quite interesting to and some of the early comics are very amusing.

I was working in Amsterdam in 2001 for 6 months and had to see all the sights. Once you've seen them that's it really.

Bit boring, especially compared to Sexmuseum. Took about 15 minutes to see everything. The most interesting showpiece is at the enterence in front of the ticketpoint.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
