If you're walking along the red light district, why not!

Lots of erotic artwork spread over 4 or 5 floors. Not sure what other people were expecting to get for €7 but we didn't think the price was bad. Not a place I would go out the way... read more

There's a lot of funny stuff in here, and I seem to remember it being pretty cheap, less than 10 euros.

This "museum" is simple titillation. There isn't much in here really, and the top 2 floors aren't even worth climbing the stairs for. The cartoons were funny though. If it was only 5 euro's I would have been happier to go in.

This museum is over four floors and was full of erotic art, an erotic cartoon and a bondage floor. Lots of fun, especially on the bondage floor. Would definitely recommend a visit

Entrance is 7 Euros per ticket. It's very dated but there are some interesting things to look at. Don't plan to spend a lot of time there (maybe 30 minutes max) but I went there on a whim as a I was passing by during the day in the Red Light District. Why not? You're already there. I also really... More

It was a little costly for what you got. It was okay and 7 euros p.p. It is 5 floors I think. Many photos and statues. There is one of those put your face in the hole to take a photo dressed like a prostitute.

I thought this museum was funny. Had lots in it to look at! Great and funny way to pass time while you're in Amsterdam. Located in the red light district! Would recommend visiting!

Entrance was 7 Euros and we stayed inside the "museum" for exactly 25 minutes. (we tried to walk as slow as possible and looked at Everything). It was very old pictures during a few decades. Small statues etc. 4 or 5 floors with nothing special. Small rooms. Only nice thing about our visit was to see the building from inside... More

It is better than the Red Light Secrets, but there is not so much marketing about it. They have a great building and their tickets are not so expensive. A good place to know!

Was more of an Erotic Art Gallery than a museum. Lots of paintings, photos and statues from around the world and across time. Worth ?7? Unfortunately, probably not.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
