As busy as central Amsterdam is, the Amsterdam Bos is quiet. There's a wonderful cafe at the main entry to the park, but you can quickly leave behind all the hubbub and walk (or bicycle) through the extensive forested grounds, laced with ponds and canals. It's easy to reach by public transportation and is a great place to spend a... More

A great big green space with woods galore. We took the cenic route to a festival and it was beautiful. Take a bike and picnic and enjoy the fresh air and time away from the hussle and bussle of the Dam. Expect to spend the whole day there as this place is MASSIVE!

Great park to visit - but only by bike. It's too big for a casual walk and you won't get far enough to visit the pancake restaurant, the canoeing lake, the goat farm or the elusive bird island.

It's a really nice place to see after spending few days in Amsterdam - think it's a nice place to "escape" from Amsterdamm for the weekends. Basicly there's a lot of green and water - so simillar to place I was born. It was a great fun - will come back there for sure.

The Amsterdam Bos is a nice place to escape to on weekends. It's quite large so plenty of room to bike in the midst of trees and green fields. There is also a large stream of water where teams practice kayaking, and a pool which can get very crowded with families when it's warm out. If you have young kids,... More

What a nice little forrest: not too far from the city and not to close. I love jogging around the water or go to the goats farm: there you can milk the goats, have breakfast or lunch with their own products and if you have children just leave them freely play around: great fun for them and relax time for...
