Description: Sugarfactory in Amsterdam is a dynamic, open-minded and creative place...
Sugarfactory in Amsterdam is a dynamic, open-minded and creative place where club, live music and theatre meet. The club regularly hosts local and international DJ heroes such as Andre Crom, Frankie Knuckles, Lunice and Black Coffee. Sugarfactory is also an upcoming stage for live music, offering the perfect venue for both small and intimate and larger-scaled gigs. The main venue - with its large stage and red velvet curtains - doubles as a great theatre location, boasting performances from The End Girls and comedian Greg Shapiro.Since the renewed small hall was opened in 2012 - a characteristic and intimate area alongside the main hall - Sugarfactory has been open 7 days a week, starting from early evening and stretching into the night. Inclusion of the extra stage, Sugarfactory serves as a popular springboard for upcoming talent, such as live bands, singer/songwriters and young organizations with remarkable initiatives.

The crowd here is relatively young and immature, the music is pure techno Eurotrash - I've been in loads of terrible clubs but this ranks amongst the worst. Buying drinks will leave a dent in your pocket, and the toilets are amongst the most cramped I've experienced in a club. When collecting my coat at the end of the night,... More

Overpriced, small, bad music and rude staff. Have never been treated as badly anywhere in the Netherlands or Europe. Surrounded by way better places.

The music was s-hit (just commercial music that you can listen in every place), the taste of the beer was horrible (probably they serve it with low pressure and mixed with water or something). prices were too high (2,90 for a small glass of beer and 7,90 for a glass of vodka and coke). at least the wardrobe was for... Small and cozy club in a little street in the nightlife district of Amsterdam. Wasn't too busy (we went in the middle of the week) and the music was alright, it seemed the people at the club all knew each other so by the end of the night everyone was singing and tapping to the tunes of the DJ friend.... This place was really tiny and not as big as my front room. I heard so many good things about this club and was really disappointed when I walked in.There was hardly no room on the dance floor the smoking room was way bigger. spent less then 10 minutes in there was really disappointed.

It's considered by Lonely Planet one of the best night clubs in Amsterdam... It's good but not great... I love eletronic music, but, at least that day, it was "too much of techno"... It's small but good atmosphere and beautiful people.

Sugarfactory is a nice and intimate club and also a good place for concerts! It's easy to reach cause it's in the centre of Amsterdam.

Taking into account everything this club simply is not worth the money. Overzealous and rude bouncers reject people randomly like they own the place. We were "lucky" to get in we thought but after spending loads of money on drinks and waiting forever to get the party started we knew better. It took ages before we got our drinks. After... More

Been here for their sunday night party on two seperate occasions. Things don't really get going until around 1:30 - 2:00ish. The place will really start to fill up around then. They have a great DJ/band/singer combo called "Wicked Jazz Sounds." The first time I saw them them they had a horn section and drummer to go along with the... More
