Taste the intimate atmosphere of the so called nine little streets. Fine shops and enough little restaurants and coffee cornes to relax.

sorta cute but ain''t no dutch shopping here. if you want to shop where the dutch do try kinkerstraat or oud west. typical cutsey tourist area found in most cities. for example there is an italian shoe store where the shoes cost more than a trip to italy plus the same shoes.

Get a translation of the Dutch 9 streets (de negen/9 straatjes) and you can imagine the people of the "gilden" working there. Watch out for bikers :-)

Love it here. Seriously, every store is different and unique, and you can enjoy a lovely coffee while shopping at little boutique stores.

We spent many hours wandering the nine streets area, lots of cafes and shops with a unique feel. Beautiful architecture and the canals add to a lovely atmosphere. We visited in Winter, I expect it would be even nicer in Spring or Summer.

Not your typical cookie cutter shopping area. Very eclectic area filled with winding streets that resemble a maze. Great place to get lost and just wander about, window shop or just pop into a shop to see what they're offering. Bring comfortable shoes as there's LOTS to walking and much to see. Nice caffes in the area as well.

When we went it was cold so it wasn't so crowded, but the stores themselves are great and the streets are really a must see.

You'll find little shops with cute things you'll not gonna find in the big malls. It's nice for gifts, a coffee break or when you just want to make a walk trough Amsterdam
