I think we would have taken 2 hours to do 6 of the 9 streets which were quiet streets with premium boutiques, bookstores and restaurants and it was wonderful to discover local flavours such as Mendo, Scotch and Soda and many, many other premium, quirky small and big things here. I will come back here next time in Amsterdam and... More

The boutiques and restaurants are such a unique taste of the Dutch people. All boutiques are very unique with very different things from shop to shop. Same feel with the little restaurants. I wondered for a couple hours enjoying every moment in this very special place in Amsterdam.

I loved wandering around the 9 streets and it's mix of quirky, familiar, designer and independent stores. We had lunch in a fantastic cafe (sorry I can't remember what it was called but it has green leafy wallpaper and outdoor seating) which was delicious and looked popular with locals too. I also visited a jewellery store where you can choose... More

These are nine cosy and picturesque little streets in the middle of the Canal Belt in Amsterdam. If you go there, you will definitely buy something special and different, anything from antique and vintage to contemporary. There are a lot of charming shops, a visit is a must for every fashion lover as surely you will find something unique to... More

If you are into shopping and finding great little gems in second hand and gift stores, this is the area you want to visit when in Amsterdam. These 9 streets (Negen Straatjes) are part of the Jordaan, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Amsterdam. You'll find lots of stores, restaurants and cafes in this beautiful part of the city. Lots... The nine streets aren't just about the shopping as many would have you believe. The nine streets are a small taste of Dutch culture. Firstly, no malls 👍🏻, loads of history and architecture 👍🏻 plenty of locals who are willing to chat and help you navigate Amsterdam 👍🏻. You can be sure to find a treasure to buy but if... More

The location and the streets themselves are very beautiful and worth a stroll, but the shops are just small overpriced boutiques, not much to see nor buy.. I gave up after the 6th street :)

I had limited time in Amsterdam but a colleague assured me that this was a must next after the Rijks Museum so that's exactly what I did. A bit of background, I work for a luxury apparel company so shopping/shopping areas are really fun for me. I can see how if one did not enjoy shopping or spending money, this... More

There's just no need to make a special trip to this area. One can find interesting shops throughout the Jordaan and in other parts of the city. We scheduled our Nine Streets walk toward the end of a week in Amsterdam, and we had seen better shops elsewhere.

A fantastic diversity of shops, ranging from antique to designer, as well as quaint cafes and delicatessens to purchase food from. Expect to spend a few hours slowly wandering around!
