One of the most intriguing shopping districts in Amsterdam, the De Negen Straatjes or Nine Streets tops the list. Made up of nine individual streets located in the heart of Amsterdam, the shops lining either side are truly unique. You’ll find everything from clothing to old records to art and sculptures. Truly a Progressive/Alternative type of shopping experience with boutique... More

Great area with boutique shops and many cafe's for a great afternoon or more. Even more fun in sales time. After walking around sit on a canal for a beer and a snack (try the dutch 'bitterballen') or go for a meal in one of the canalside restaurants.

A wonderful historical area with a mix of shops and boutiques, with great places to stop for a bite to eat. Even if you arean't a keen shopper, this is a great area to browse and enjoy the architecture and shopfronts. If you like to be in a buzzy area, also great for a drink or lunch.

Had the opportunity to stay on Singel right on the fringe of the nine Streets. Lots of ecclectic one of kind shops and restraunts in the area. Definitely needs to be somewhere you allow at least an afternoon during your visit

When you want to feel Amsterdam, come to this place. The atmosphere is "Gezellig" (enjoyable). It is a charming neighbourhood full of unique shops, cafes, bars. A lot of fashion shops that not cheap ones. Don't need to buy thing , just wandering around and window shopping is oke.

One thing I failed to mention in my review of this high-end shopping area last year is that there are a number of pop-up stores open here at any given time. The stores come and go from year to year, so if you didn't see anything you like, come back again in a few months and many of the stores... More

I loved all of the little shops here. This is what I was hoping for while shopping in Europe: unique places that we wouldn't have at home. There were cute and wonderful restaurants too! I've read reviews the some people wrote complaining about it being expensive, but my friend and I found a shop that had everything for €30 (wish... More
