Love walking along the canals...

Be sure to go early in the morning when everything is nice and quite and the canal calm. I took lots of reflection photos of houses and bridges in the canal. A must see!

This is perhaps the loveliest canal in Amsterdam. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful. There are very neat bicycle seats at the end of each intersection where you can sit and watch the swans floating around. It's lined with cute cafes where you can have your koffie and watch the world go by. The homes are also particularly beautiful and interesting.

Don't miss out on this and any other canal you can get a boat ride through. This is truly Amsterdam's beauty, if you're lucky enough to be in the city during some great summer weather you'll definitely enjoy your time.

This canal is very lovely, a little overly touristy with places like the Anne Frank House, the Cheese Museum and the Tulip Museum on it, but the building are gorgeous and there are some great pubs and restaurants. There is also a great tea shop - the Simon Levelt tea and coffee store. Try their 'The Wonders of Amsterdam' tea... More

Prinsengracht is the prettiest and most interesting canal to wander along, stretching from the Jordaan to the Red Light District. Westerkerk, Anne Frank House, canal tours and brilliant restaurants can all be found within this area. Enjoy a stroll through all that Amsterdam has to offer just by wandering from one end of this canal to the other.

Canals in Amsterdam are what makes that city unique. Reflections of buildings on the water, little boats, inhabited barges... lovely!
