We visited this particular museum (there are over 100 museums in Amsterdam) based on the story of Van Gogh... Take the audio tour and take your time, it is well worth it !

It´s organized based on Van Gohg`'s life, the pictures are amazing, his history is told beatifully , while you go up the stairs. Its located sorrouded by a nice garden.

The Van Gogh museum was interesting. There are long lines and a lot of people. Also, you really must be an avid Van Gogh fan, because there is A LOT of Van Gogh to see. This museum cost only 14 euros for adults and kids under 17 are free. I like the way the museum presented Van Gogh art work in chronological order from his first paintings to the paintings he did when he was in an asylum. The Van Gogh museum is certainly worth a visit, although it is a bit pricey at 14 Euros. This museum houses all the very best of the painter right from the begining... We just loved it and really wished we had more time there.... Great museum and the paintings are amazing especially the Sunflower paintings by Van Gogh which was one of my favourite and main reason for visiting this museum. Would recommend and with the Amsterdam Card you get free access to this museum and many more.
