Early arrival tips

As soon as you get in go upstairs and have the next floor to yourself. It is the best way to view his art and feel like you have the place to yourself!

The Van Gogh provides an amazing view into the mind and talent of Vincent van Gogh. It is not to be missed. Give yourself at least 4 hours to slowly wander and absorb the culture and friends that influenced vanGogh.

Purchasing on line tickets before we left home was a time saver. We spent a wonderful afternoon studying many Van Gogh paintings and learning about the life of this artist.

This is a great museum, with around 200 Van Gogh paintings, plus a selection of other painters of the time to provide context. That said, there are two problems. The first is - you are not alone. Thousands of other Van Gogh fans will descend upon this temple, whatever day you choose. This means you may get caught in a... More

It had a good collection of paintings, big or small. at the end of the visit, we knew a great deal more about this famous artist. If you wish to see the Starry night painting, its not at this museum. We were told that the piece is in New York.

I found it difficult to use the audio guide, as the numbers near the paintings seemed to be out of sequence at times, forcing me to retrace my steps at times. However, nothing... More
