Lots of history and evolution of Van Gogh as a man and artist. Learned a lot. Wonderful and not so wonderful pictures from all different stages of his short career as an artist. I love his work more than ever.

Avoid the long, senseless lines, buy your ticket as you enter the park area, and go to the special line quickly. The museum has a flow and a good selection of works. A hint is to go to the book store first to see which painting you would appreciate seeing. The line can get monotonous, there is a children/ hands... More

The museum is a must if you visit Amsterdam. Van Gogh is my favorite artist and it was a great pleasure to see that the museum is really nice. Go there early. The audio tour is the best.

The queue gets longer as the day goes by. We got there at 9:45 am and waited for about ten minutes before we were allowed in. One can spend 1.5 hour looking through the highlights. The media tour is informative.

About a 30 minute wait to get in. Would recommend booking tickets online. Seemed to be far too many people in there at once. Hard to move around and see all the works. Some famous paintings there but also quite a few housed elsewhere.

Very nice display of Van Gogh's works and a rather thorough perspective on his tragically short life. Fits the schedule perfectly to see this after the morning Concertgebouw performance.

We visited the Van Gogh Museum after starting early at the Rijksmuseum, so it was very crowded when we arrived. We had tickets, so we were able to skip the longest queue, but it was very busy inside. Try and visit at a quieter time if you can - perhaps on a weekday or early morning rather than midday on... More

It was my third visit to Van Gogh Museum. The collection is great and packed with masterpieces of this brilliant painter, and the collection itself is very well organized, with a nice and fluent flow to the visit.
