Not a ton of flowers to see. Mostly just bulbs which have to be certified to bring home, endless tourists, restaurants serving American-style food, and junky souvenirs. Okay if there's nothing better to do, but you're in Amsterdam - there will ALWAYS be something better to do! More

For the Dutch it is a nice view with a smile, for foreigners it is a good place for a walk and for souvenirs. I tyhink the prices are better here then in most of the tourist places. Surprisingly, this was my favorite of all the outside markets by its uniqueness. It's easy to find and attracts numerous people. The flowers are beautiful, but unfortunately if you are traveling back to the U.S. you cannot take any bulbs home through customs. It is also very expensive to ship home. More

The flower market is indeed a very beautiful place to walk and admire all those different kinds of flowers in these flower shops. But it's a great trap to buy tulip bulbs.
