I must be one of the only ones unimpressed by this place. Info I found said it was open at 9 but clearly that's only a suggestion. I had to stop and have a coffee to waste some time and by 10 or 1030 still only a small percentage of stalls were set up. I did not spend more than... More

It is nice to take some time to explore every nook and cranny of this large outdoor market, lots of small vendors who sell snacks of different sorts for when you get a little hungry. Some vendors sell new stuff aimed typically at tourists, like shirts, candy and anything with the city name on it. There are a few hidden... More

Best market in Amsterdam. You find so much old, nice stuff. I bought a levis jeans jacket for 30 Euro. I love it. The others markets are boring and nothing special. But this one is worth to see.

For your tulip-and clogs type souvenirs, this is the place, though not much cheaper than in stores. Second hand stuff were low quality, though stall owners were nice and friendly. You can also find hats and shoes, army surplus (fake?) clothes, handicrafts, leather goods, t-shirts and other clothing from the last six decades. I even saw a washing machine and... More

If you are used to an American type flea market you may want to think of this as a mix between a flea market and a yard sale.

Went along as needed a replacement suitcase as had broken lock on original & just needed a cheap one to get home with. My daughter loved it there, bought herself band merchandise, new Dr Marten boots & tunnels for her ears. Lovely friendly stall holders & a mix of new & second hand goods.

The market is okay to wander around for half an hour. If you are looking for genuine leather bags etc this could be an ideal place. However we found a gorgeous little cafe called 'Lekkrr' at Waterlooplein 317 and had a great breakfast and coffee in there (it's closer to the City Hall side). Definitley recommend this place if you... More

A real street market for lovers of vintage clothes, books, vinyl records and new age accessories. Easy to find and has some nice cafés. If it's cheap, tacky souvenirs you want, you won't find them here.

Visited expecting a decent range of good quality second hand (hopefully antique) goods but found only tacky items for sale alongside a strange range of quasi military clothing

Having been to amsterdam many times i am shocked that i have only just recently discovered this market. One side is like stalls selling new things and souvenirs which are cheaper than in the city centre shops then the other half is all old vintage stalls with adorable and no doubt collectable items, great little market spent a few hours...
