Went though the whole street top to bottom. Entered a few of the main shops and even bought stuff from some of them. I noticed that the LV and Prada don't really carry a lot of stuff at their P.C. Hoofstraat stores. Their range is so limited. The whole street has very few people visiting it. Except for a couple... More

It is a street with all branded things. Though 2 a 3 times a week I pass this street, I visit it only 2 a 3 times a year and that is when I have guests from Asia. I still can't understand why all my asian friends always want to carry Louis Vuitton's bag. I'd rather buy a ticket to... More

Just one block from our Hotel Fita, this shopping area makes for interesting window shopping. As we are not into paying such high prices, we simply did a lot of people watching. Audis, Benzs, BMWs, Jaguars lined the narrow street. One of the few places in Amsterdam where bicycles don't rule. We did buy one thing - a luggage tag... More

P.C. Hoofstraat is not as large as a 5th Avenue or a Sloane Street or a Rodeo Drive but it is Amsterdams answer to those streets. A nice area in the south close the museums area it has the main designer shops in order that you can do damage to your wallet. For me there is a great Zegna shop.

The Dutch call window shopping "window licking" and especially women can do a lot of licking in this area. Unlike Kalverstraat, the shopping here is high end and the window displays are very entertaining.

This short street is the place to people watch and visit designer clothes shops. Watch the high prices in the cafes. It is not a patch on Ortega y Gasset in Madrid but it is still the place to see and be seen in Amsterdam and worth a visit.

If you find yourself in Amsterdam and you love designer clothes, shoes, bags etc. then you Must bring a visit to the P.C. Hoofdstraat. This is THE designer shop street of Amsterdam where you will find Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Tiffany&Co, Tods, Hermes, Armani, Bulgari and many others. You can get there with Tram n.2 or 5. You can catch... More

Nice to walk down this street. It was very expensive in most of these shops though. It was also strangely quiet but I have never seen such a long line of luxury item shops string together

I loved walking up and down this street window shopping at the exquisite designer shops. This is Amsterdam's equivalent to Paris's rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. I enjoyed Chanel, but was a bit dismayed when an alarm went off (from the person before me) and the security guard gave me the "look of death". Fortunately the ppl in front of me... More

We stayed here, in a gorgeous apartment right above Tiffany's last September. I loved to open our windows and people watch, while sipping wine. Window shopping was fun but that's all I did, I'm not as fancy as the models and Dutch celebs I was watching. ;) looking below, it was common to see a Ferrari jet by or Rolls... More
