One of a number of parks in Amsterdam, this was a pleasant area to watch the locals go by and relax for a while. Beautiful and clean with a number of vendors selling hot food and ice cream.

We took our kids to the park and it was a kind of "okay park". We walked there because everyone is so thrilled about it, so we walked for 45 minutes to see if we had missed the attraction.
I usually love parks, but this was crowded - full of people, bikes, stoned tourists ... we left then, a bit...

My friend and I hired bikes and cycled all the way around the vondel park. we had a lovely time and would recommend cycling around the vondel park to anyone going to visit Amsterdam with the intention of seeing the sights.
Such a surreal place as its so big and just like the country side but you know that the city is like 2 seconds around the corner. Lovely place to relax and take a picnic is the weather's nice!

Fun very busy park. Lots to do and see. Went a couple of times during our stay. Plenty for all ages. Just go.
On a day when we hired bikes we travelled down to Vondelpark to eat some lunch and relax. Plenty of space, with lots of little lakes to sit by. It was clean and green and made a very nice place to stop off.
changed since I was last there in the '70s with sleep ins in the park but still great to relax in, walk in, have a picnic in
The Rose Garden section is a big disappointment if you compare it to London or Paris equivalent prestige parks...otherwise it is a great place to stroll along the varied lakeshore and copse pathways....always very busy with exercising locals.....three great outdoor cafes to chill out far from the traffic noise...come on Queens Day for the party and flea market.
Nice park near the Museumplein, very calm and relaxed atmosphere. Lots of people running and on bikes. Should go for a stroll around the park at least once on your visit.
