Great exhibitions. We got a museum card as there for 5 days and wanted to visit more than once. Late Rembrandt special exhibition amazing but need to visit very early to avoid long queues or book on line well ahead. By 11am this got very crowded.. Architecture and garden also worth seeing.

Purchased a ticket online for the main exhibit but it did not also include the Late Rembrandt seasonal exhibit. I was able to rectify this at the museum with a 7 Euro charge. I downloaded the app for the audio tour. It uses free wifi and there are free charging stations in the museum. I would spend at least a... More

Fabulous art collection but start early in the morning when you have energy. Was tired after walking around the city then queuing to get into the museum and queuing again to buy tickets.

We paid to see the Rembrant exhibition and got there early and we had to q for about 20 minutes. However, this was nothing compared to the constant q'ing to see the pictures themselves. It is like a huge 'bun-fight' to get in front of the pictures to get a decent look, and after a while it just wears you... More

Amazing place and collection of work. Trying to talk my family into going back again. Someday, can't wait to see the Dutch Masters again!

The Rijksmuseum is acclaimed for its collection of Old Master paintings, and rightly so. I visited while they were showing the Late Rembrandt exhibit, an excellent special exhibition dedicated to the artist's later works (showing through May 16, so go now!) The museum is laid out well, and while the art itself is excellent, moving through the renovated building and... More

I've visited the Musuem twice. The collection is very impressive, even if the organization not always clear can give to the visitor quite some overloading problems (which I did not experienced at Louvre or Met). So, really suggested to make your own schedule for the visit, and keep focused on it.
