Enjoyed the great collection during a Sunday. Really great pieces on many floors and rooms. You need to decide what you want to see because it's too big. I bought my ticket online on the way to the museum and did not have to wait a second prior to entering. Unfortunately the website was not mobile optimized. Could help to... More

The Rijksmuseum is an impressive building both inside and out. There is a varied selection of artworks inside including paintings, sculptures, models and ceramics. It also has some beautiful stained-glass windows. The museum itself is not too large but there is plenty of room to move about. Outside the museum is the Statue Garden, a nice area with a small café.... More

Superb collection of Dutch art and history. As in any museum worth visiting, there are always crowds. The museum has a nice cafe where you can watch artist working on their sketches. There a number of other museums and attractions nearby, you can plan your whole day just in that area.

I'll be back to see more of the exhibits because this museum is huge. Enjoyed all I had seen though.

A vistor requirement. Lines were long, one should go there early. The offerings were equisetum. The service was good and helpful.

The Rijksmuseum is a classic and in my opinion the best museum in Amsterdam. I take a walk through this every time I visit the city and even the building itself is a work of art. They boast a collection of Rembrandt, Vermeer, Van Gogh, and Pieneman and not just paintings, but sculptures, furniture and ancient weapons. My favorite 3... More

The RIjksmuseum just had a major overhaul which lasted 10 years and reopened again in 2013. It was well worth the wait and the new Rijks is better then ever in every aspect. My tip is purchase your tickets in advance and try to avoid the busy school vacations or weekends. Also make sure to take enough time for your... More

We visited on a Friday around midday and the queues for both ticket holders and non-ticket holders was pretty long. We waited for around an hour and a half (in the rain) before we got in. Although the exhibitions and the art are fantastic to see, it was difficult to know how to navigate the museum at times... Easy to... More

The collection is, of course, spectacular -- with the exception of the modern area , which is minimal -- but there are other museums here for that era. We visited at the end of October, not exactly high season, and there were crowds. Getting close to the Night Watch takes patience, as does some of the other well known paintings... More
