Great collection of items and paintings from the 1500s up to present. Buy tickets in advance and go there early in the morning to avoid the queues. You can easily spend several hours in the museum. Be sure to check out ground floor with some amazing model ship displays.

The Rijksmuseum caters for all tastes with a little something for everyone from ancient to modern, all housed in a beautiful building. Had no problem getting in as we went on a Monday morning however worth buying advance tickets to reduce the lengthy waiting time at weekends. The collections are well laid out though patience required to get a good... More

We arrived at 8.45 to avoid the queues we had seen on other days. Allocate quite some time to spend here as there is so much to see.

This museum show the part of history of Netherlands. Parts from other contries in the navigating period. The ware collection and the pictures of Rembrandt are fantastic. The pictures show the aristocracy in Amsterdan in 15th century.

Closed and partially closed for many years, the Museum reopened in April and they've done a fantastic job. Best to buy tickets online in advance and be prepared to queue for a while before being admitted. It's huge so plan what you want to see (for us it was the 17th century - 2nd floor). An amazing collection.

Apart from the poor entry requirements, multiple lines to access, the gallery has a lot of art to offer. Very good collections and with a couple of superb not to be missed masterpieces.

We were so lucky to arrive in Amsterdam about 4 days after they had re-opened the museum after a 10 year restoration! And it was so worth the visit. The Audio Guide is a MUST, and makes everything so interesting, particularly if you do the 'further info' options. The queuing system upon arrival is very confusing, so be 100% sure... More

The Rijksmuseum finally re-opened after a long refurbishment. The museum felt and smelled like new. Excellent layout and design. You really can learn alot about Dutch history from all the art and artifacts and descriptions. The whole museum itself is a work of art.

Huge! We didn't get in until 3.00 pm and got thrown out at 5.00 pm. Could have done with another 2/3 hours. What we did see was amazing, well worth a visit.

If you love art, The Rijksmuseum is a must. This museum was included in our city tour of Amsterdam. The art works are just brillant. Rembrant and Van Gogh paintings are to be seen. Cannot comment on the price as part of the tour. The building itself is just lovely. Be prepared for crowds, there was heaps. Just outside the... More
