Took this tour with Allison in the first week of August - we had amazing weather on the day. I emailed ahead to request a shorter bike (I'm 5'3) and they responded very quickly and had one ready for me on the day. The bike was great, I wanted to steal it and take it home with me. Very comfortable... More

We did the windmills, Cheese and Clogs tour earlier today with Joy Ride Tours. It was fantastic! We booked this tour because it went outside the city and has smaller group sizes. We were definitely not disappointed. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and adjusted the discussion topics based on the interests and background of the participants. The bikes themselves were... This was amazing. In minutes we were outside the city in the countryside in incredible beauty. Alison the owner/guide was fun, supper informative, enthusiastic, and a joyful spirit. My daughter and I had a great time. Easy for non-bikers too! Stopped off at anthemic cheese farm ad that was fun too! Great times!

We went with the owner on the country tour and stopped several times to listen to interesting facts about the area. We chose this tour over the others based on the reviews and were glad we did.

I booked because of the previous reviews, the small group size and the country tour because it was away from Amsterdam's crazy traffic for most of the way. I loved it because: The equipment is fabulous, great newer bikes, rain ponchos worked very well. No sore butt from the bike seat at all. Went to places you would never find... More

The locals in Amsterdam are the city's greatest asset. They are some of the most relaxed, kind and patient people you could ever wish to meet. However, give one a bike and a fang-framed snarl emerges amidst expeditious follicular activity and they blitz the streets with the sole intent of auditioning for the next remake of "rollerball". It was with... More

Gracious owners and just nice people. Well worth it. On time, easy to find right near the Rijks, nice bikes.

I can't ride a bike. Well I can, I just tend to wobble a bit and sporadically fall in hedges due to lack of concentration. When my better half booked this I wanted to cry, especially after seeing the sheer chaos and quantity of bikes in Amsterdam that fly past each other mere centimetres apart. Dreading the worst I went... More

Sean was a whiz of a guide, providing great information and taking care of everyone. The tour starts in Amsterdam but shortly meanders into the country. It is not a rushed ride so you will be able to savour the experience. Absolutely loved it.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
