Gracious owners and just nice people. Well worth it. On time, easy to find right near the Rijks, nice bikes.

I can't ride a bike. Well I can, I just tend to wobble a bit and sporadically fall in hedges due to lack of concentration. When my better half booked this I wanted to cry, especially after seeing the sheer chaos and quantity of bikes in Amsterdam that fly past each other mere centimetres apart. Dreading the worst I went... More

The owner/operator took us on a bike tour and he is very knowledgeable about everything Amsterdam and Netherlands. I highly recommend!

Sean was a whiz of a guide, providing great information and taking care of everyone. The tour starts in Amsterdam but shortly meanders into the country. It is not a rushed ride so you will be able to savour the experience. Absolutely loved it.

This is one of the best things I have done during my travels. Shaun showed us a mixture of city, country, art, lifestyle and gave us information about culture, history, religion and politics all in a fun and lighthearted way. It was well organised and the cycling was very easy and relaxed. PLEASE do your self a favour and take... More

Sean led a very good bicycle tour into the countryside. His informative stops were interesting. The route was very picturesque. My only criticism is not Sean's fault -- the farmer who ran the cheese and clog farm was more than a bit odd. Sean says he has good and bad days and we appear to have caught him on a... More

This 4.5 hour bike tour led by co-owner Sean Cody, at 30 Euros, is a deal too good to pass up. The 7-speed bicycles are in excellent condition and have a saddle bag. Enthusiastic Sean has a wealth of knowledge about the history, people, and culture of Amsterdam, and can recommend restaurants and things to do after the tour. With... More

This tour gives depth to visiting Amsterdam. Sean took us out through the parks, residential areas, by canal boat residences and into the farmlands. Along side of all these sights was a commentary involving the culture and history of the country. The city is great for the museums and the eats but this was a tour that talked about the... More

We had the most wonderful experience on our countryside bike ride with Sean. He gave us so much information in a very approachable manner. We loved his wide breadth of knowledge of subjects ranging from history to politics to Amsterdam's social structure. He took us through lovely parks, by canals and through farm land. We visited a farmer who made... More

What an experience. You see so much on this tour and it's worth every penny. The bike ride is pretty easy and you see so much. You start going through Vondelpark and then stop by houseboats, you then head over to the countryside where you visit a Cheese and Clog Factory. By far one of my favorite stops of my... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
